FanDuel Partners With AISES

Advancing Indigenous People in STEM (AISES) is an organization that promotes and secures STEM careers for Indigenous people. AISES and FanDuel have partnered to promote STEM careers in the gaming and sports betting industry. The partnership will see FanDuel support the Resources for Indigenous STEM Education (RISE) Program.

FanDuel Promotes STEM Careers In Gaming

FanDuel will provide support by aiding with travel for students, professionals, and AISES members. The sports betting giant will also provide financial support for students interested in the gaming and casino industry. There will also be mentorship programs to connect and promote industry networking.

“Indian gaming is a powerful tribal economic development tool in many tribal communities and often a keystone feature of sustainable job creation,” said Sequoyah Simermeyer, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at FanDuel. “FanDuel recognizes that there is a wealth of talent in the nearly 250 gaming tribes in the United States and is proud to work with AISES to help tribal communities develop skills in STEM that will create job opportunities and improve lives for future generations.”

AISES And FanDuel Partnership To Create Job Opportunities

FanDuel will officially become the marquee sponsor of the Annual AISES Conference in San Antonio. The event will host over 3,000 attendees and run from Oct. 3-5. AISES hosts a job fair during the conference, and FanDuel will be joining on as recruiters. The titular sportsbook looks at the conference as a “launching point” for demonstrating its dedication to promoting career opportunities for Indigenous people.

AISES has a large, well-established footprint, with chapters and individual members spanning the U.S. and Canada. With FanDuel’s position in the gaming industry, Indigenous people have a clear path to enter and find STEM careers.

“AISES stands as an unparalleled leader in advancing Indigenous people in STEM,” said Sarah EchoHawk, AISES President. “By forging vital relationships in sectors like gaming—a cornerstone of economic and workforce development for many tribal communities—we are not just empowering future generations; we are solidifying our role as a formidable force for tribal sovereignty. Our partnership with FanDuel underscores our mutual dedication to elevating Indigenous talent in STEM, and together, we’re poised to unlock new opportunities in the gaming industry.”
