Portugal are sixth in the latest FIFA World Rankings, 36 spots higher than Turkey (42). Roberto Martinez's squad notched a 2-1 win over Czechia on Tuesday, and a win over Turkey here nearly cements their spot in the knockout round. It didn't come easily. Czechia scored an own goal, and Francisco Conceição broke the tie at the 90+2' mark.

Turkey easily beat Georgia (74th in FIFA rankings), 3-1, on Tuesday. They also are in an advantageous position – win, lose or draw – to move onto the next round. However, the Turks would like to see at least a competitive match here to maintain their goal differential should it come down to tiebreakers.
