Wyoming sports bettors eagerly awaiting the launch of the mobile-only sports betting market will have at least one juicy promotional offer available. DraftKings Sportsbook in Wyoming has rolled out a special pre-launch promo for eligible customers.
New users signing up for DraftKings Sportsbook in Wyoming can opt in to the promo for a $100 free bet when the product goes live, which could happen as early as Sept. 1, 2021. That promo could be available in addition to normal deposit bonuses for new customers once the market launches.
DraftKings Wyoming $100 free bet
Assuming DraftKings receives one of the licenses, they’re sure to roll out plenty of promotional offers for their customers, and the first one has been revealed already. Customers who meet eligibility requirements can sign up in advance of the market launch and receive a $100 free bet.
Here are some of the requirements:
- Must register for a DraftKings Sportsbook account in Wyoming and opt in
- Must use within seven days of product launch
- Not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash
- One offer per player
- Ends when product launches
- Must be 21 or older
Other eligibility restrictions may apply. As for the last point, it’s notable because Wyoming’s market allows for those 18 and older to place legal bets.
If you’re located in Wyoming and you meet the criteria for eligible customers, be sure to take advantage of this promotional offer before market launches, or you’re leaving value on the table.
The Wyoming Sports Betting Market
fWyoming, the least-populated state in the union, must go about things a bit different than some other states when it comes to sports betting rules and regulations. The stakeholders have set up a framework that’s specially suited to the state’s needs.
First off, Wyoming sports betting will be mobile-only. Tennessee has gone with a similar plan.
Initial legalization and governor approval happened back in April of this year. The legislators set a target date of Sept. 1 in hopes of launching before football season, and that appears to still be the goal.
Wyoming’s legislation calls for up to five operators, with the caveat that they must have launched in at least three other states. According to Legal Sports Report, the following online sportsbooks qualify:
- DraftKings Sportsbook
- BetMGM
- FanDuel Sportsbook
- William Hill
- PointsBet Sportsbook
- theScore
- Barstool Sportsbook
Sportsbooks awarded a license will pay $100,000 initially for the first five years then $50,000 for renewals after that. They’ll also pay a 10% tax on revenues. The operator-friendly rules should encourage a competitive process for the five licenses.
