DraftKings Sportsbook Offering Broncos Odds Boost To Celebrate Colorado Sports Betting Launch

It’s been quite a few weeks for DraftKings. The DFS-turned-sports-betting powerhouse has done well despite the lack of live sports that drives its traditional business. Last week, the company went public. Today, it opened its online sportsbook in Colorado.

To celebrate the launch in the Centennial State, DraftKings Sportsbook is offering bettors a sweet odds boost deal on the Denver Broncos. New DraftKings accounts can get even money (+100) for the Broncos to win over 6.5 games in the 2020 regular season. DraftKings says the actual odds for that win total would be -305. So, yeah, this odds boost is one you’ll certainly want to take.

Right now, the sportsbook lists -110 odds at 7.5 wins. DraftKings is essentially giving new bettors a free Broncos win to start the season!

How do I bet it?

Once Colorado players sign up for a DraftKings Sportsbook account and make a deposit, the odds boost will appear in the app. Players can bet up to $50 on it.

Simply click on the odds boost, enter your bet amount, and click “Place Bet.” The wager will appear in your betslip in the app. All you have left to do is cheer for your Broncos to win seven or more games in the 2020 season and you win.

Plus, like with other legal betting states, DraftKings is offering new accounts $25 in free bets when you sign up. That can be used to cover part or all of this odds boost if you wish.

For those who are concerned about a shortened NFL schedule due to the coronavirus, don’t worry. DraftKings says it will reevaluate the offer if the NFL makes any major schedule changes. At worst, bettors will be issued a “bad beat refund” if the season is significantly shortened or canceled and the Broncos fail to reach seven wins.

This Broncos odds boost is only available until May 5, so get signed up before it’s too late!

Can the Broncos get to seven wins?

While the odds are in your favor, no bet is a sure thing. This will be an interesting year for the Denver Broncos. Quarterback Drew Lock will be looked to lead the team following a 4-1 stretch to close out last season, including wins over division rivals. In the NFL Draft late last month, the team added receivers Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler to its arsenal of offensive weapons. That came after the Broncos added RB Melvin Gordon to an already crowded backfield during free agency.

It’s a different look for a Denver franchise that has hung its hat on defense since winning the Super Bowl five seasons ago. The team did add some depth in the later rounds of the draft this year.

Denver excelled at home last season, going 5-3 at Invesco Field. This year they have some interesting matchups, including old nemesis Tom Brady bringing his Tampa Bay Bucs to town. The Broncos also host playoff teams from last year in the Bills, Saints, and Titans.

The road matchups aren’t easy. They’ll travel cross country to five East Coast teams, including the Patriots, Steelers, and Falcons. After Denver dropped its first four early starts on Sundays last season with Joe Flacco and Brandon Allen under center, Lock split his two starts on the road, including a 38-24 win at Houston a week before his lone loss at KC.

Other ways to bet the Broncos

The Broncos are the second choice to win the AFC West on DraftKings at +800. It seems most everyone is expecting the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs to maintain their grip on the division. However, big stars have left the Chargers and we’re not sure how the young Raiders will adapt to Las Vegas.

Denver’s odds to win the Super Bowl are +4000 (40-to-1) at DraftKings Sportsbook. To win the AFC and reach the Super Bowl, those odds are cut in half at +2000.

To simply make the playoffs, Denver’s odds are +163. That means if you place a $100 bet, you’d win $163 in profit.
