Even in a year that has featured little in the way of upsets, March Madness may have left your bracket in ruins. However, free second-chance brackets and contests offer a chance at a mulligan. DraftKings has come to the rescue with several contests awarding $30,000 each in prize money.

It’s Sweet 16 time, which means only a handful of games remain. Still, there are enough contests to provide a second-chance bracket contest, and that’s precisely what DK and others have done. Along with a couple of sponsors, DraftKings has set up a pair of $30,000 contests.
The pools have the same idea as your typical March Madness bracket, except on a smaller scale. Pick winners for each game, and points double every round:
- 10 points for correct Sweet 16 picks
- 20 points for correct Elite 8 picks
- 40 points for correct Final Four picks
- 80 points for the correct championship winner
The prize money is quite top-heavy and scales down quickly, so it’s best to play aggressively and make some big upset picks. Here’s how the prize pools break down.
