DraftKings NFL contests

Betting on the NFL from week to week provides plenty of action. Nevertheless, season-long contests can bring an enjoyable sweat as well, and DraftKings Sportsbook has opened registration for a couple of high-profile NFL contests it will host.

Reminiscent of many popular pick’em competitions out there, DraftKings will bring back its NFL season-long pick’em pool. Additionally, DraftKings NFL millionaire survivor makes its return, giving users the chance to outlast every other entry and bring home a mouthwatering payout for a piddling initial investment.

$10,000 NFL Pick’em Pool! Compete for huge prizes by entering our FREE season-long NFL contest. It’s not too late to play!

DraftKings NFL Season-Long Pick’Em Pool Contest

DraftKings has switched things up a bit with its pick’em contest for 2022. Last year, it went with a heftier buy-in of $1,500. For 2022, the operator has opted for a more accessible $250 buy-in. That will certainly widen the pool of entries, but DraftKings still promises $1 million in the prize pool.

Unlike some other pick’em contests, DraftKings lets users select one “skip week” where they make zero selections. Also, the timeline runs from Week 1 through Week 17, meaning the final week of the regular season doesn’t factor in.

For the 16 selected weeks, contestants make five picks against the spread. Each correct pick earns one point.

Contestants can enter up to 10 times. The winner receives 25% of the prize pool as of the time of writing, which would be $250,000 but would obviously expand if enough entries are logged.

Unfortunately for some, while this isn’t exactly sports betting in the traditional sense, DraftKings does run the pool through the sportsbook. Therefore, only users in states with legal sports betting can enter this and other real money DraftKings NFL contests.

DraftKings NFL Survivor

Survivor pools have become one of the most popular ways for NFL betting. The excitement of sweating in a winner each week combined with the deep layers of strategy make it a one-of-a-kind experience.

For those unfamiliar, the short of it is that you must pick one straight-up (not ATS) winner each week. If that sounds easy, the catch is you can only use each team once. Therefore, significant planning — not to mention luck — is required to make it through the entire season. In a pool as large as DraftKings NFL Survivor, you’ll very likely need to do so.

Survivor pools don’t use a payout table because everything goes to the winner(s). That means for just $100 in this case — or up to $1,000 if you want to use all 10 entries — you can win $1 million.

One quirk to note in DraftKings’ scoring: this pool counts ties as wins, advancing users who picked either team. That runs in contrast to most survivor pools.

Best of luck in the DraftKings NFL contests if you decide to enter this year.
