DraftKings March Madness Bracket: Get Every Pick Wrong, Win Up To $100K
Bracket season has arrived, and that means countless casual and serious sports fans alike will be crafting their March Madness picks in hopes of selecting some winners… unless they’re participating in DraftKings Sportsbook’s Zero Right Bracket Challenge. This challenge is a March Madness contest that asks contestants to pick losers.
DK has teamed with Pepsi to offer a $100K freeroll to the person who can score the fewest points in a bracket contest. If you often find yourself with nothing to sweat after the first weekend of March Madness odds, you should be perking up. This might be the contest for you.
Race To The Bottom IN DraftKings Zero Right March Madness Challenge
In a normal bracket challenge, you try to pick winners, with points escalating the further the contest gets. That is, if you pick teams that win games farther into the tournament, you gain more points than if you pick winners in early rounds.
The DraftKings Zero Right Bracket Challenge for March Madness works exactly the same, except the goal is to score zero points. Each correct pick earns points based on the following scoring criteria:
- 1 point for each correct first-round pick
- 2 points for each correct second-round pick
- 5 points for each correct Sweet 16 pick
- 10 points for each correct Elite 8 pick
- 25 points for each correct Final 4 pick
- 50 points for correctly picking the winner of the tournament
At the end of the contest, the person who has scored the fewest points wins $100,000. If multiple entries tie, they’ll split the $100K.
Avoiding points later in the tournament should be easy enough, but the key will be picking the fewest early-round winners. Obviously, sweeping the board in the first round will assure a final score of zero. Avoiding the March Madness upset predictions that come home will help keep your score as low as possible.
