Apr. 7: Closed a respectable 12-1 in the Kentucky Derby futures pool 6, the fifth-shortest mark on the board. A fourth-place finish likely doesn’t diminish the outlook for Dornoch, who gave a valiant effort and has consistently posted respectable BSF numbers.
Apr. 27: Opened at 20-1 on the morning line, running out of Post 1. Given Dornoch is a frontrunning horse, he has a better chance not to get pinned to the rail, should he choose to set the pace.
