When will DK Metcalf return to the field for the Seahawks?

Many fantasy football owners are seeking an injury update for the Seahawks WR. So when will D.K. Metcalf return and be back on the field for the Seahawks?

The team is hopeful that Metcalf will return after its Week 10 bye. On tap after that is a Week 11 game against the 49ers, one which could determine the course of the rest of their season.

However, it doesn’t sound close to certain. The team is still calling the injury “week to week.” Metcalf suffered a Grade 1 MCL sprain that caused him to miss Weeks 8 and 9.

Here’s the Seahawks’ schedule for the weeks in which Metcalf could return:

• Sunday, Nov. 10 (Week 10): BYE
• Sunday, Nov. 17 (Week 11): Seahawks at 49ers
• Sunday, Nov. 24 (Week 12): Seahawks vs. Cardinals

In Metcalf’s absence, second-year man Jaxon Smith-Njigba stepped up in a big way in Week 9 against the Rams. He tallied a monstrous 7-180-2 line in a breakout game. He’ll continue to see more looks, as will Cody White and whoever starts at TE (Noah Fant is also nursing an injury).

How long will D.K. Metcalf be out?

A Grade 1 MCL sprain is the least serious type. Sometimes, players can come back right away, although that wasn’t the case with Metcalf.

Seattle has lost five of its past six after starting the season 3-0. At 4-5, they’re in last place in the division, plus they’ve already lost home games to the Rams and 49ers that put them in a tiebreaker hole.

If Metcalf doesn’t return soon and start helping to power wins, the season could end early.
