Week 2 Patrick Mahomes Odds Boost
SuperDraft Prop: O/U 0.5 Passing Yards
SuperDraft is giving users an essentially free play this week, letting users play Patrick Mahomes Over 0.5 yards passing in his matchup against the Jaguars. With the Jags coming off a win in Week 1, Mahomes and the Chiefs will want to show they’re back in control of the AFC.
With a rest advantage and hopefully Travis Kelce back, Mahomes makes for a good play on other fantasy formats, but in this prop-parlay format, Mahomes as a key leg to all prop parlays is key. Whether it’s using Mahomes to get another leg to +200 odds or as part of a bigger parlay, this SuperDraft Odds Boost is incredible value for users.
For other formats, Mahomes is in the highest total game of the Week against Jacksonville. He will be heavily owned in all formats. There’s no immediately obvious Wide Receiver stack, but Mahomes will be highly owned in other formats.
Highest-Owned DFS Plays
Zach Wilson
Wilson is in an odd situation, undervalued in price-based formats because prices were set before Monday Night Football and the Aaron Rodgers injury. In those contexts, he’ll be played, even though the correlating pass catchers take a hit in expectation with him out there.
If Wilson plays better than he did on Monday Night in relief he can be a value. If he can use his legs to get away from Dallas’ pass rush, he could find himself incredibly valuable in fantasy football. His penchant for turnovers also perversely does him well – turnovers can lead to increased possessions and more opportunities for Wilson to throw.
In prop-based fantasy formats and prop betting markets, Wilson’s a fade, but depending on the format he might be a value.
Calvin Ridley
Back from a year-long gambling suspension, Ridley proved the year off didn’t cause him any issues. He went 8 catches on 11 targets for 101 yards and a touchdown against the Colts, and now walks into the highest projected total of the week. Assuming the Chiefs passcatchers remember how to catch the ball, this game should shoot out, and force Jacksonville to throw all game long.
11 targets on 32 passes is a huge volume for Ridley in his first game as a Jaguar. With another week of familiarity and a game script where the Jags are underdogs, Trevor Lawrence is likely going to have to increase his throwing. With Ridley already cementing himself as the #1, this seems likely to be another very strong week for backers across all betting and DFS formats.
Amon-Ra St. Brown
Seahawks-Lions is another game with a high total this week, despite both offenses struggling somewhat in Week 1. Seattle gave up 30 to the Rams, while the Lions’ defense would look much worse if Kedarious Toney remembered how to catch. As a get-right spot for weapons on both teams, this should be as good of one as you can find.
9 targets, 6 receptions, 71 yards and a touchdown for Amon-Ra on Thursday night in an otherwise down offensive game shows his value. The Seahawks’ secondary got torched last week and there’s every indication they are vulnerable again this week. Additionally, just by having the Seahawks push the Lions more than Kansas City did offensively, the Lions could be forced to throw more.
Best of luck navigating the highest-owned DFS plays of Week 2 in the NFL!
