Broncos Odds: Final 2024 Preseason Game

Which Players Will Play In Broncos Vs. Cardinals?

Bo Nix was one of the stars of the preseason. The young signal-caller won the battle to become Denver’s starting QB, beating out Jarrett Stidham. An older rookie at 24 with extensive collegiate experience, it comes as little surprise that Nix isn’t expected to need significant development.

What that means for this preseason isn’t yet clear. Most teams typically play few, if any, starters during the finale. Bettors should probably expect heavy doses of Stidham and Zach Wilson.

Denver’s been a preseason machine so far with a 2-0 record and a +29 differential.

On the Arizona side, it’s mostly been the Clayton Tune show in the preseason. Tune and Desmond Ridder are locked into a battle for the backup job, which Tune held last season. He put up some of the worst tape of any QB last year, but he’s been fairly productive in the preseason, more so than Ridder.

Arizona has kept Kyler Murray and top draft pick Marvin Harrison Jr. on ice. That will probably continue here.

Despite Tune’s decent play, Arizona enters 0-2 in the preseason. Hence, the above odds that favor the Broncos pretty strongly by preseason standards.

Final Preseason Game Before NFL Week 1

Denver enters the 2024 season in a state of flux. The Russell Wilson-Sean Payton marriage proved exceptionally short-lived, to the point the team ate a record chunk of salary to jettison the wayward QB.

Now, the team has entered a somewhat awkward transition phase. They loaded up on some veterans in hopes of competing prior to last season, only to quickly shift gears and trade away Bradley Chubb and hit the reset button at QB by drafting Nix.

The defense now looks pretty lacking in talent outside of Pat Surtain II.

However, the offense could have some sleeper potential if Nix is for real. Payton’s storied history in New Orleans is tough to ignore here. The offensive line is decent, and Courtland Sutton showed signs of returning to his old form last year. If Payton can work his magic, Denver’s NFL win total, one of the league’s lowest, might wind up looking low.
