Sportsbooks such as DraftKings Sportsbook, FanDuel Sportsbook and BetMGM have odds for all of the drivers in Sunday’s race, and also have Top 3 and Top 10 finisher odds if you’re confident in one of these drivers having a strong outing – but are not positive they can take the checkered flag.

Upset potential

Hamlin is rightfully the favorite, having won in back-to-back years. But Daytona has historically been a race where putting a few dollars on the longshots is well worth it.

Crashes are routine at Daytona and favorites can wipe out early. Monumental underdogs can power through and become the victor at the 200-lap race.

The most glaring example came in 2011, when 20-year-old Trevor Bayne shocked the world. Bayne had 80-1 odds to win that year’s event.

This year’s Daytona 500 will feature several young drivers looking to stun racing fans (DraftKings Sportsbook odds). Could one of these drivers be the next Bayne?

  • Anthony Alfredo (+20000)
  • Chase Briscoe (+5000)
  • Austin Cindric (+6600)
