Dak Prescott Injury Update: When Will QB Be Back And Return To Cowboys?
Cooper Rush has so far filled in nicely at quarterback for the Cowboys. In the NFL, however, you are just one bad game away from ridicule. If Rush tosses 3 interceptions in a loss this next game, people will immediately be asking about the availability of Dak Prescott - who suffered a fractured joint near his right thumb in a 19-3 loss to the Buccaneers on Sept. 11. Here we will dish out an answer as to when will Dak Prescott return and be back on the field for the Cowboys. We will also look at Cowboys futures and NFL betting lines for this coming week.

When will Dak Prescott return and be back for the Cowboys?
Fantasy football owners and Cowboys fans are asking when will Dak Prescott return and be back on the playing field. The good news is that this is not at all the type of injury that will keep him out for an extended period.
Update: Dak Prescott practiced last week and is practicing again this week. It is expected that he will play this Sunday against the Lions but is certainly something to monitor throughout the week. Here is the latest from TheLines' injury expert, Will Carroll, regarding the Cowboys QB:
"Dak Prescott is expected to throw on Wednesday and a decision will be made very quickly on whether he’ll be back as Cowboys’ starting QB after that," Carroll said. "There was progress last week, but the team felt Cooper Rush gave them a better shot with Prescott’s ball control still an issue. Another week should help, plus the decisive loss is going to put a bit more pressure on the staff to get wins and keep pace. A healthy Prescott would be a good way to do that. There’s going to be some talk that Prescott is being rushed, so I’ll remind you that the thumb was fixated surgically and you can’t really rush titanium plates. They’re hard and stable from the beginning. Prescott’s absence has been about function - spin and grip - and once he can do those, he’s back in. Don’t expect “75 percent” here despite the talk. Prescott will either be ready in full, or he won’t play."
Here is a look at the timetable with corresponding Cowboys opponents.
- Week 7 Sunday, October 23: Lions vs. Cowboys
- Week 8 Sunday, October 30: Bears vs. Cowboys
Cowboys betting
The Cowboys are long shots to win the Super Bowl as they were around +4500 to win it all on Sept. 22. Even winning the NFC East will prove to be difficult with improved Eagles and Giants teams. Check out Dallas Cowboys odds below.
