Pitt at Louisville, Saturday (4 p.m., ESPN2)

- Since starting 7-0, Pitt has lost three straight — to Syracuse, SMU, and Clemson (combined 24-6 record)
- Louisville misstepped at Stanford last week, falling to the 2-7 Cardinal by a score of 38-35

- Neither team is mathematically still in the ACC championship race
Baylor at Houston, Saturday (7 p.m., FS1)
- The all-time series between these schools is tied 14-14-1, but the teams have played just once (2023) since their Southwest Conference days, ending in 1995

- Watch for both teams’ turnaround: Baylor has won four straight coming off its first bye (Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, TCU, West Virginia), while Houston has won two of its last three but dropped an ugly game to Arizona last week
- Since Week 7, Baylor is averaging 45.8 points per game; Houston has allowed more than 30 points just twice this year

- Watch for rain and freezing temperatures Saturday night in Reno!
Impact Injuries On College Football Week 13 Odds
All times Eastern
The Citadel at Clemson, Saturday (3:30 p.m., The CW)
Far from an issue this weekend, but Clemson dealt with cluster injuries along the offensive line last weekend. Starting left tackle Tristan Leigh and left guard Marcus Tate missed the 24-20 win over Pitt. Preseason starting guard Collin Sadler hasn’t seen the field since Week 2, though the team’s been able to replace him since. Star defensive lineman Peter Woods returned to the lineup, but DeMonte Capehart has missed the last two games.
This is more of a concern for Week 14, when Clemson will take on one of the country’s best defensive fronts in South Carolina. Getting ahead of it now.
Wisconsin at Nebraska, Saturday (3:30 p.m., Big Ten Network)
Nebraska remains down a couple of notable pieces. It was already missing its starting left tackle (Teddy Prochazka), and backup Turner Corcoran left in Week 4 and hasn’t played since. Top running back Rahmir Johnson has missed two of Nebraska’s last three games and played just a handful of snaps in Week 10. Kicker Tristan Alvano suffered an injury in Week 3, and the Huskers’ backup kicker hit just six of his first 10 field goals, including one of three at 40-49 yards. The kicking game has become even more necessary for a team just 4-21 in one-score games since the start of 2021.
Washington State at Oregon State, Saturday (7 p.m., The CW)
In Oregon State’s last three games, the Beavers went 0-3 with a combined score of 96-20. Things went from bad to worse when Oregon State suffered an ugly 28-0 loss to 2-7 Air Force. Ben Gulbranson assumed the QB1 duties from transfer Gevani McCoy just in time to get walloped by Cal, 44-7. Gulbranson went down with an injury against San Jose State, giving way to QB3 Gabarri Johnson, who went 9-for-19 with 106 passing yards and an interception. Just a loss away from bowl ineligibility and coming off five straight losses, watch for a total shutdown by Oregon State. Leading rusher Jam Griffin missed Week 12, as well.
Star QB John Mateer played last week despite missing multiple practices for Washington State. Watch for his availability on Saturday, too.
Alabama at Oklahoma, Saturday (7:30 p.m., ABC)
While Oklahoma’s injury situation has improved, it’s still a serious issue. Receiver Andrel Anthony remains out after suffering a torn ACL last season, Nic Anderson and Jayden Gibson remain out for the year, and Deion Burks returned in Week 11 but exited early again. Running back Gavin Sawchuck hasn’t played since Week 7, starting safety Kendal Dolby since Week 4, and corner Gentry Williams since Week 2. Left tackle Jacob Sexton has also missed the last two games.
Virginia Tech at Duke, Saturday (8 p.m., ACC Network)
Fortunately, the Hokies were on a bye last week. Unfortunately for them, QB Kyron Drones remains injured. Drones returned to the field in Week 11 but exited early. Star RB Bhayshul Tuten returned at the cost of second-leading rusher Malachi Thomas. Starting safety Jalen Stroman exited in Week 1 with an injury that kept him sidelined through Week 11. The Hokies need one more win to clinch a bowl spot.

Other Roster & Staff Impacts on College Football Week 13 Odds
Temple at UTSA, Friday (7 p.m., ESPN2)
Temple has moved on from head coach Stan Drayton after two-plus seasons and a 9-25 record. The Owls did not make a bowl game under Drayton and last appeared in the postseason in 2019 under Rod Carey with Matt Rhule’s roster. Drayton was fired despite an 18-15 overtime win against FAU and two wins in the team’s last four games. Defensive coordinator Everett Withers, who served as James Madison’s and Texas State’s head coach from 2014-18, takes the reins in the interim.
Charleston Southern at Florida State, Saturday (1:30 p.m., ACCNX)
Following a 52-3 shellacking at the hands of Notre Dame, Florida State fired offensive coordinator Alex Atkins and defensive coordinator Adam Fuller; receivers coach Ron Dugans was also turned loose. The Seminoles are an abysmal 1-9, one of the worst follow-ups to an unbeaten regular season in college football history. The move indicates Mike Norvell may be given one more year at the helm. Linebackers coach and co-DC Randy Shannon will call the defense, while staffer Gabe Fertitta will call the offense. FSU closes the season with Florida after this bye game.
Bowling Green at Ball State, Saturday (2:00 p.m., ESPN+)
Ball State fired head coach Mike Neu this week after nine years with the program and a 40-63 record. Under Neu, the Cardinals played in two bowls, splitting them 1-1, and peaked at No. 20 in the AP Top 25 in 2020. Since then, Ball State hasn’t cracked .500 and was eliminated from bowl contention at 3-7. Offensive line coach Colin Johnson will serve as the interim head coach.
UMass at No. 12 Georgia, Saturday (2:45 p.m., SEC Network)
UMass fired head coach Don Brown on Monday afternoon after a 2-8 record on the season. Brown lasted three years in his second stint with the program (2004-08 in the FCS) and improved the Minutemen from 3-37 over three-plus seasons to 3-9 last year. Offensive coordinator Shane Montgomery will take over in the interim. UMass will move back to the MAC next season.
Charlotte at FAU, Saturday (3 p.m., ESPN+)
FAU announced on Monday that it had fired head coach Tom Herman. The Owls sat last in the American at 0-6 and went 6-18 under Herman in their first two years in the AAC. Special teams coordinator and associate head coach Chad Lunsford will take over in the interim. Further, FAU reportedly re-hired DC Roc Bellatoni, fired just last week.
Conversely, Charlotte fired head coach Biff Poggi late Monday evening. Poggi went 6-16 in less than two seasons and failed to make a bowl game. Tight ends coach and college football veteran Tim Brewster will lead the team for its last two games.
FIU at Kennesaw State, Saturday (3 p.m., ESPN+)
Brian Bohannon being fired is last week’s news. But the impacts of his release influence this week’s game and next week’s. At least four impactful starters announced intent to transfer, including the team’s best defender, CB JeRico Washington. Other starters include Blake Bohannon (team leader in targets), running back Qua Ashley (second-leading rusher and leading yards receiver), and defensive tackle Pooda Walker (all-conference caliber). Watch for a total team shutdown, with many of its leaders deciding to leave in the wake of their coach’s controversial firing and subsequent mishandling of the event by the athletic department.
East Carolina at North Texas, Saturday (3:30 p.m., ESPN+)
North Texas fired defensive coordinator Matt Caponi following a 48-27 loss to UTSA in Week 12. The Mean Green rank 111th in points per drive allowed and have allowed 40+ four times this year and 30+ six times. UNT is one win away from bowl eligibility but has been so since Week 7, losing four straight games. Linebackers coach Brian Odom will assume the play-calling duties, his third time as an interim DC (USC last year, Oklahoma in 2021).
Wisconsin at Nebraska, Saturday (3:30 p.m., Big Ten Network)
Following a disappointing 16-13 loss to No. 1 Oregon, Wisconsin fired offensive coordinator Phil Longo. The Badgers attempted a shift from ground-and-pound football—the program’s offensive identity for decades—to the air raid. Under Longo, Wisconsin ranked 87th and 91st in scoring offense, falling each year and down from 74th the year prior. No interim play-caller was announced.
Weather Impacts On College Football Week 13 Odds
Weekly college football weather reports will be released later this week as forecasts become more certain. But here’s a few spots to keep tabs on early in the week.
Watch for an intense bomb cyclone setting up offshore in the Pacific Northwest. While Oregon and Washington are on byes, this intense rain will persist for days and impact UNLV at San Jose State (Friday), Washington State at Oregon State, Stanford at Cal, and Air Force at Nevada. Other games in the West expecting rain early on include San Diego State at Utah State, Iowa State at Utah, and Colorado State at Fresno State.
Midweek MACtion games that could see rain this week include Northern Illinois at Miami (OH), Western Michigan at Central Michigan, Akron at Kent State (Tuesday), Buffalo at Eastern Michigan, and Ohio at Toledo (Wednesday).
Watch for potential freezing rain to snow in some higher elevations and northern games. Of course, keep an eye on evolving weather forecasts throughout the week.

Situational Spots To Watch With College Football Week 13 Odds
Keep in mind widespread lookahead potential on the eve of Rivalry Week!
NC State at Georgia Tech, Thursday (7:30 p.m., ESPN)
NC State started the season rough — 51-10 and 59-35 losses to Tennessee and Clemson, respectively, lowlighted a 3-4 start. When the Wolfpack was down, another kick came in the form of QB Grayson McCall, suffering another concussion and retired from football. But since then, NC State is 2-1 and much more competitive. It will face off with Georgia Tech with bowl eligibility on the line. Tech already clinched its bowl spot, can’t make the ACC championship, and could be down its starting QB Haynes King and running back Jamal Haynes. NC State also got an extra week to prepare for the bowl push.
ULM at Arkansas State, Saturday (3 p.m., ESPN+)
ULM started the year hotter than any imagined, winning five of its first six games, including a shocker over James Madison. By Week 7, ULM was just a game away from bowl eligibility for the first time since 2012 and the second time as an FBS member. But since then, it has dropped four straight games, largely to quality opponents. With Arkansas State and 8-2 Louisiana the only remaining opponents, ULM likely heads into this game desperate. Arkansas State is unbeaten at home this year but also already secured a bowl berth and is largely out of SBC championship contention.
Wisconsin at Nebraska, Saturday (3:30 p.m., Big Ten Network)
Oh, so close. Wisconsin had Oregon in a rock right and dropped the game at home, 16-13. Following the loss, Luke Fickell announced offensive coordinator Phil Longo was out as the play-caller. A massive emotional letdown leads into a game where the winner will clinch bowl eligibility. Nebraska hasn’t played in the postseason since 2016 — among the nation’s longest bowl droughts of any FBS team. Next week, the Huskers will travel to Iowa for Rivalry Week, meaning this could be their best shot at securing that elusive bowl berth.
Marshall at Old Dominion, Saturday (7:30 p.m., ESPNU)
Marshall comes off its biggest and most emotional game of the year, the annual remembrance of Flight 932 that killed the entire 1970 Marshall football team and coined the phrase and film “We Are Marshall.” At 8-2 ATS on the season, the Thundering Herd exceeded expectations and controlled their Sun Belt East destiny. However, this season, six of Marshall’s seven wins came at home — it is 1-3 on the road. Old Dominion nipped a couple of teams this season: Bowling Green and Texas State. At 4-6, one loss effectively would end ODU’s season.
Teams Around Bowl Eligibility
- Buffalo at Eastern Michigan: EMU needs one more win while Buffalo is on the verge of being eliminated from MAC championship contention
- NC State at Georgia Tech: NC State is one win away; Georgia Tech has already clinched a spot
- Iowa at Maryland: UMD is a loss away from being eliminated, while Iowa already clinched a spot and cannot make the Big Ten title game
- ULM at Arkansas State: ULM is one win away; Arkansas State has clinched a spot but is still in contention for the Sun Belt championship
- No. 17 Colorado at Kansas: Kansas is one loss away from being eliminated
- Northwestern at Michigan: Michigan is one win away from a bowl; Northwestern is a loss away from elimination
- Wisconsin at Nebraska: Both teams are a win away
- UCF at West Virginia: WVU is a win away from bowl eligibility while UCF is a loss away from elimination
- Washington State at Oregon State: Oregon State is a loss away from being eliminated (Washington State has clinched)
- Baylor at Houston: Houston is a loss away from being eliminated (Baylor has clinched)
- Marshall at Old Dominion: ODU is a loss away from being eliminated (Marshall has clinched)
- Cincinnati at Kansas State: Cincinnati is a win away from bowl eligibility (Kansas State is still in Big 12 championship contention)
- Virginia Tech at Duke: Virginia Tech is a win away (Duke has clinched)
- USC at UCLA: USC is a win away, while UCLA is a loss from being eliminated
Best of luck betting college football Week 13 odds!
