College Basketball Odds, Picks, Predictions Today: Will Penn State Upset Nebraska?
On tonight's college basketball odds board, the lowly Penn State Nittany Lions (13-13, 3-12) host the Nebraska Cornhuskers (17-9, 7-8). Neither team is in my college basketball power rankings. According to the table below, the Cornhuskers are short road favorites. Let's break down the odds for Nebraska at Penn State, including options for your same-game parlay.

college basketball best bets: Penn State ats
After the Cornhuskers' NCAA tournament hopes appeared bleak in January, when they lost six consecutive games, they've responded with five wins in their last six contests. Nevertheless, this is a prime buy-low, sell-high spot as Nebraska aims to bolster its March Madness resume against the reeling Nittany Lions. For context, Ace Baldwin and Co. have dropped 11 of their last 12 games.
Situational spots uncover conditions when teams have surpassed or failed to match their typical efficiency level relative to the moneyline or point spread.
Unsurprisingly, Penn State is dead last in Haslametrics' momentum metric. There's an argument to be made that the Nittany Lions still haven't reached the bottom of their market rating. But after factoring in unlucky variance, I believe we've arrived at the buy-point.
During the abovementioned stretch, Mike Rhoades' squad lost six games by two possessions or fewer. It's also experienced injuries to its leading scorers: Baldwin, who has produced the fourth-highest assist rate in conference play, and center Yanic Konan Niederhauser, the league leader in blocked shots.
Granted, Nebraska's defense, centered around its stout ball-screen coverage and post-up denial, is tough to score against.
However, it's vulnerable against transition-reliant offenses. With the Cornhuskers playing their third game in seven days, look for PSU to press and push the pace to fatigue Fred Hoiberg's unit, which is already down budding forward Berke Buyuktuncel (ankle).

Final Thoughts
The Nittany Lions are playing for a ticket into the Big Ten tournament, which only the top 15 teams in the 18-team conference will qualify for. Hence, I don't anticipate an unmotivated effort.
