CJ Cup Byron Nelson Odds, Picks, Predictions: PGA Tour Betting Card & OAD
The 2025 PGA Tour golf season continues, with Harbour Town Golf Links next on tap to host the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, beginning Thursday. Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, and Sungjae Im headline among CJ Cup Byron Nelson bets this week, as John Haslbauer provides his favorite picks among all the golf odds for this tourney. You’ll find the top odds across the best sports betting sites.
It's another week on the PGA TOUR, as TPC Craig Ranch is next on tap to host the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson in McKinney, Texas.
This is a consummate birdie-fest, but it's also a week for volatility, as players capable of catching the hottest approach and putting performance will separate over the next four days. To round out my card this week, I’m looking for players with a combination of Comp Course performance in easy scoring conditions, elite approach play, and spike putting upside.

HOW I BUILT MY CJ Cup Byron Nelson BETTING CARD
As much of an obvious choice as Scheffler may be to win this event with hardly any other viable opposition standing in his way, it’s hard to justify betting him at his current price, still chasing his first win of 2025. So instead, we’ll opt for strength in numbers, building out a wider card of exposure in an event which has proven to reward longshots since joining the PGA TOUR schedule in 2021.
Unit allocation is standard for my weekly stake at the 2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson. Since I am traveling out of the country this week, I opted to leave off the props and matchups this time.
- Outrights: 3.5U in to pay 25U each
- FRL: 0.5U in to pay out 10U+ each
CJ Cup Byron Nelson BETS: OUTRIGHTS (3.5 UNITS)
Stephan Jaeger
My bet: +4500
Best available odds:
It’s a tall order asking anyone in this field to out-duel Scottie Scheffler in his home state. But, there is one man in this field who’s proven capable of that task before: Stephan Jaeger. Jaeger picked up his long-overdue first PGA TOUR win at the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open, where he edged Scheffler by one stroke.
TPC Craig Ranch is an even better fit for Jaeger’s game, as it rewards his greatest strengths of driving distance, long-iron approach play, and birdie-making in easy scoring conditions. Finishing top-20 in his last two trips to this event, I love Jaeger’s chances to contend this week.

Rasmus Hojgaard
My bet: +5000
Best available odds:
The better of the two Hojgaards (at least at this very moment), Rasmus is an established winner in pro golf, already picking up five career wins on the DP World Tour before his 24th birthday. Hojgaard’s game should stack up well at TPC Craig Ranch, as he has the distance to reach these scorable par-5s in two, and has continued to trend well with his irons. Making his CJ Cup Byron Nelson debut this week, he’ll look to carry some momentum off his runner-up finish at the Zurich Classic last week.
Jake Knapp
My bet: +5500
Best available odds:
One of my favorite values on this week's board is Jake Knapp, who will flex his distance advantage on this long course with generous landing areas. The 2024 Mexico Open champion continues to look sharp in his Sophomore season, with three top-12 finishes over his last six starts. He’ll improve on a solid eighth-place finish in his CJ Cup debut.
Ryan Gerard
My bet: +6000
Best available odds:
My featured spotlight player of the week, Gerard, may not fit the prototypical “bomber” mold one would look for at TPC Craig Ranch, but that didn’t hold back players like Ben Kohles, who contended last year. Gerard enters in excellent form with three top-12 finishes over his last four starts, including a T12 at last week’s Zurich Classic. At his best in easy scoring conditions, his game should stack well at TPC Craig Ranch.
Nicolai Hojgaard
My bet: +6500
Best available odds:
When in doubt, play them both! While his brother Rasmus has the current-form edge, Nicolai still strikes me as the better long-term prospect. Both players' profiles are strikingly similar and well-equipped to navigate a long, easy course like TPC Craig Ranch.
Harry Hall
My bet: +8000
Best available odds:
I’m always drawn to playing Harry Hall in easy scoring conditions, as he can heat up for birdie streaks like few others. Hall picked up his first career PGA TOUR win in easy scoring conditions at the 2024 ISCO Championship, and has not looked back since. His best results have come in easy conditions, posting five consecutive top-15 finishes in the 2024 Fall Swing. With a return to easy scoring this week, he looks poised to make another run at this event.
Gary Woodland
My bet: +10000
Best available odds:
It’s hard to believe a former Major champion in good form who profiles perfectly for this course can be found at triple-digit odds, especially in a field as shallow in depth as this one. Woodland is at his best on longer course setups, and posted his best finish of the season (T2) three starts ago at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.
Lee Hodges
My bet: +10000
Best available odds:
One of the premier ball strikers in this field, it is surprising to see Hodges’ name slip this far down the odds board. The 2023 3M Open champion knows how to close out a tournament when in contention and has shone this season with five top-20 finishes this year.
Karl Vilips
My bet: +12500
Best available odds:
A proven threat in easy scoring conditions, Vilips has already picked up wins at the collegiate, Korn Ferry, and PGA TOUR levels within the last year. There’s no question he has the length to stay on the PGA TOUR years to come, but a recent spike in his iron play leaves room for encouragement leading into this week. If he can channel the same game plan that led to victory at the Puerto Rico Open, he should be able to find similar success at TPC Craig Ranch.
Hayden Springer
My bet: +15000
Best available odds:
One of my favorite players to bet in easy scoring conditions, Springer knows how to go low in a race beyond 20-under-par. As one of the longer hitters in this field, he should have no issues scoring on TPC Craig Ranch’s easy par-5s. He ranks No. 10 in my model, with top-10 in Birdie-Or-Better percentage, Par-5 Scoring, Driving Distance, and SG: APP.
CJ Cup Byron Nelson BETS: FIRST-ROUND LEADER (0.5 UNITS)
Stephen Jaeger
My bet: +5500
Best available odds:
A consummate birdie-maker, this is a perfect course for Jaeger, who is at his best on courses that allow players with the longest driving distance and long-iron approach play to separate. He remains in great form leading into this week.
Jake Knapp
My bet: +6000
Best available odds:
Jake Knapp has already cashed as the first-round leader once this season when setting the course record at PGA National. You're always a threat to go low when you have his elite combination of Driving Distance, approach play, and streaky putting.
Seamus Power
My bet: +7000
Best available odds:
Though not quite making it onto my outright card, Power has proven to love TPC Craig Ranch like few others, finishing top-20 in each of his first three appearances. A known birdie-maker, he’s in great form to make another early charge.
Harry Hall
My bet: +7500
Best available odds:
One of my FRL fixtures in weeks where Aaron Rai is unavailable, Harry Hall knows how to catch fire on the greens in easy conditions. He’s rounding into form this week, with a game that sets up well to score at TPC Craig Ranch.
Hayden Springer
My bet: +11000
Best available odds:
As a player with the best combination of Birdie-or-Better and Par-5 scoring metrics, Springer is my favorite First Round Leader value this week.
ONE AND DONE
My pick: Stephan Jaeger
This is not the week to use Scottie Scheffler in One And Done, and the rest of the “top contenders” in this field don’t excite me enough to hop on board. Jaeger’s case to contend at TPC Craig Ranch is sensible, as he’s already won in Texas and has a reputation for separating on long and easy setups.
If not Jaeger, I would consider Byeong Hun An, Jordan Spieth, or Rasmus Hojgaard in OAD.
