BetMGM has been named the official sports betting partner of the Cincinnati Reds of the MLB. This deal comes as Ohio prepares to launch sports betting in January 2023. This multi-year deal will see a BetMGM retail sportsbook open at Great American Ball Park. The BetMGM Cincinnati Reds partnership represents the future of sports betting in Ohio.

BetMGM promos will surely be available as well when online sportsbooks go live in the state January 1, 2023.

What the BetMGM – Cincinnati Reds Partnership Will Bring Fans

This partnership will see BetMGM promoted throughout the Reds stadium, in addition to the retail lounge. The sportsbooks signage will be displayed on the outfield wall as well as behind the home plate. The foul line will also see the BetMGM brand displayed.

Additionally, the sportsbook will be offering VIP experiences. One such experience will be fans gaining access to the field during batting practice. Exclusive Cincinnati Reds betting experiences will also be accessible on the BetMGM mobile app. The partners aim the bring a unique sports betting experience to fans in Ohio through content to increase fan engagement.

“With sports gaming coming to Ohio, the Reds sought to bring the highest quality operator to our ballpark for those fans who choose to participate in sports gaming,” said Doug Healy, Cincinnati Reds Chief Financial Officer. “BetMGM is renowned for their expertise in entertainment and sports gaming, and we believe their brand best fits our high customer standards and will also help draw visitors to our city.”

BetMGM continues to expand its reach in the U.S. market with partnerships like this. This is the second MLB team that will see a BetMGM sportsbook at their stadium. The Washington Nationals partnered with BetMGM to open a sportsbook at the Nationals Park stadium earlier in the year.

Ohio Sports Betting Launching 2023

As the looming Jan. 1 launch date for sports betting in Ohio grows closer, more deals of this nature are expected to occur. Ohio is home to nine professional teams including two NFL teams, two MLB teams, one NBA team, two MLS teams, a WNBA team, and an NHL team. Each of these franchises is either partnered with or looking to partner with a sportsbook.

The Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL have a partnership with Betfred to launch a mobile app, the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA partnered with Fubo Sports, and Bally Bet has a deal with the Cleveland Browns of the NFL.

These deals are among the many sportsbooks coming to Ohio following launch. This is an exciting time for Ohio sports betting fans.
