Cincinnati futures odds

Everything but the logo and stadium name changes for the Cincinnati Bearcats in 2023. Scott Satterfield assumes the role as head coach following the departure of Luke Fickell for Wisconsin. Only 34% of offensive production (seventh-fewest) and 42% of production total returns for the Bearcats. Perhaps the biggest change, however, is Cincinnati’s move from the American to the Big 12 beginning this fall. While Cincinnati’s first game today vs. Eastern Kentucky should be an easy win, it’s been nearly a decade since we’ve seen Cincinnati Bearcats odds as long as they are for season-long futures across the best college football betting sites.

There’s likely more fruitful longshots to consider for both College Football Playoff and Big 12 futures than Cincinnati this year. Per TheLines’ preseason numbers, the Bearcats power rank 10th in the conference. According to Kelley Ford’s KFord Ratings, Cincinnati has just a 3% chance to make the Big 12 Championship, with their most likely record being 4-4 in conference.

Former Florida and Arizona State QB Emory Jones comes to the Queen City with a cast of three transfer receivers projected to start. Xzavier Henderson was a former teammate of Jones in Gainesville and projects to be the top target on the team. Defensively is where the Bearcats still hang their hat. Defensive tackle Dontay Corleone landed on the AP All America preseason unit – also the lone preseason All Conference selection. Deshawn Pace – brother of All American linebacker Ivan – leads the charge behind the defensive front.

However, the biggest hit was to the coaching staff. It would take operating in the upper 1% all season long for Cincinnati to be a viable conference title contender.

Win Total Assessment

This season, Cincinnati is lined for just regular season wins. TheLines’ preseason projections are slightly more bullish, lining the Bearcats for 5.7 wins. That number hinges dramatically on the back of nine projected one-score affairs, including in every road test this season.

Cincinnati avoids Texas, TCU, and Kansas State in Year 1 in the Big 12, giving them the third-easiest schedule in the conference (52nd nationally). They also handle their three toughest games – Oklahoma, Baylor, and UCF – in the friendly confines of Nippert Stadium.

Cincinnati Conference Win Total

DraftKings Sportsbook lines Cincinnati for Over 3.5 conference wins (+145). According to KFord Ratings, Cincy has a 26% chance to win four conference games and a 55% chance of going over those 3.5 lined conference wins.
