Which Players Will Play In Bears Vs. Chiefs?

Unfortunately for Bears fans hoping for one more glimpse of the young phenom Caleb Williams, the team already announced he won’t play. Williams provided some tantalizing highlights in each of the past two preseason games, both resulting in Bears blowouts.

However, QB duties for this game fall to Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien. Both of those men have done their parts in contributing to the Bears’ 3-0 preseason record as well. That perhaps explains why fans will be looking at Bears odds as road favorites here against the defending Super Bowl champs.

Notable offensive skill players like Rome Odunze, Khalil Herbert, and D’Andre Swift have appeared in said games. However, keep in mind that teams tend to put their starters on ice for the final preseason game. Usually, these games serve mostly as battlegrounds for back-end roster spots and special teams positions.

Patrick Mahomes also played a significant amount of snaps for K.C. in the second preseason game. The team already announced he’ll be sitting for this one as well. Carson Wentz and former seventh-round pick Chris Oladokun will handle the snaps for the Chiefs.

Final Preseason Game Before NFL Week 1

When this game ends, both teams will have wrapped their preseason. That means both teams’ fans can turn their attention to NFL Week 1 odds.

In Williams’ highly anticipated debut, the Bears will host the Titans. Chicago has real hopes of contention in a tough NFC North. The Bears front office has surrounded Williams with an enviable collection of weapons, including Keenan Allen and D.J. Moore, along with Odunze in the receiving corps.

Kansas City, meanwhile, opens on Thursday Night Football, also at home against AFC rivals Baltimore. The Chiefs front office also focused on the pass catchers this offseason, adding Hollywood Brown and premium draft choice Xavier Worthy in hopes of shoring up a group that featured far too much Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson, and Skyy Moore.
