Let’s start off with a little reassurance and make sure that Betr is the real-deal. This includes creating Betr ratings for things like licensing, support, security, and the virtual currency setup.
Licensing
No license is needed here. It’s a sweepstakes casino, so regulatory compliance is the main thing, which Betr does brilliantly. You can’t make deposits at the social casino, nor can you play any of the games using real money - it’s virtual currencies only. From our extensive testing, we’ve also determined that it follows the no purchase necessary requirement. The app has a built-in support system and it’s got to be one of the best we’ve tested. The email support offers near-instant communication with human reps, and all our interactions with them have been incredibly positive. Security and transparency
The app and landing page website both use SSL encryption, and there’s also geoblocking technology that makes sure customers from outside the US or from prohibited states can’t sign up.
On top of that, it’s got all the standard documents and explanations you can expect, such as sweepstakes rules and terms and conditions, it uses RNG-tested games, and KYC checks are part of the registration process. Virtual currencies
Instead of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins like the virtual currencies we found in our Blitzmania review, Betr uses Gold Coins (GC) and Betr Cash (BC). Betr Cash is basically the same as Sweeps Coins though, being potentially redeemable for cash prizes provided you meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
You’ll need 100 BC to make a redemption, to have played with your bonus BC 1x, and to have fully verified your ID. From our experience, the Betr BC redemption processing times are pretty good - often taking a maximum of 72 hours compared to the typical 3-8 days that most sites offer.
Gold Coins can also be purchased using methods such as Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Online Banking and Venmo, but these are completely optional - you don’t need to purchase any to play the games here.

First up it was time to check who provides the games at Betr as this is a great indication of quality and fairness. In this case, they work with a small selection of well-known developers, such as:

These are brands we are familiar with - especially BGaming and 3 Oaks. There’s both live and single player table games
Aside from slots and arcade games, Betr also has a pretty good collection of live and single player table games. The single player games are great if you aren’t bothered about speaking to other gamers, and want to play at your own pace, while the live dealer games offer a much more immersive experience that’s more akin to an actual casino floor.

How easy is it to use the Betr sweepstakes casino site?
Unlike the setup we found in our Sweepking review, Betr is mobile only. There is a desktop site, but this is purely a landing page and you can’t sign up or do anything on it - it just directs you to the app download links. Some people might be annoyed with this, but the two mobile apps are amazing quality and we think they would blow any desktop site out of the water anyway in terms of usability.
The apps are available from the App Store or Play Store and it’s really good in terms of usability, with smooth menus, a logical layout and interface, and plenty of filters so you can search through the games easily.

Do new Betr sweepstakes customers get anything?
This is a major area that Betr needs to improve on, and we were pretty disappointed to find no real welcome bonus for Betr Casino new customers. Usually, you’ll get a lump sum of virtual currencies as a no purchase bonus, but we didn’t get anything like that. Instead, there was an optional 25% Gold Coin package boost on your first GC package, starting from GC packages at $9.99 or more.
This is OK, but again, it falls short compared to the standards other social casinos have given. For instance, in our Coinsback Casino review, we found a discounted GC package with 100% more GC for new customers, and this is much more in-line with our findings at other sites.
What promos are there for existing customers?
There are also promos for existing customers, but these need improving too, and we noticed that most of the available bonuses and features are currently geared towards the DFS and picks sections of the app - hopefully this will change in time, and Betr will concentrate more on its social casino offering. Currently though, we were able to get the following bonuses:

Our verdict - is Betr sweepstakes casino any good?
That’s our Betr review complete, so what did we think? It’s got potential, and has a solid foundation. But there’s plenty of room for improvement too - namely the overall game variety, the lack of a no purchase bonus, and the diversity of the sweepstakes casino bonuses. Right now though, the app is a pleasure to use, and it does give an incredible gaming experience. We also love the Faucet feature and the high RTP slots from BGaming.
