Popular sweepstakes casino site WOW Vegas has announced WOW Rips, a virtual pack-opening and card-trading platform available to all players.

Revealed via a promotional email and social media posts in mid-September, WOW Rips promises to allow users to sell, store, or physically receive any cards received as part of packs.

To celebrate WOW Rips, WOW Vegas unveiled a dual-sided promotion: players could get one free pack via the notification center and take advantage of a separate bundle coin sale delivering up to 30 SC for free.

However, the brand has since removed any social media and website posts linked to WOW Rips.

What Is WOW Rips?

WOW Rips is WOW Vegas Casino’s take on virtual pack openings, where players purchase optional packs in exchange for themed cards.

Until now, WOW Vegas Sweepstakes Casino has allowed users to play slots, table games, and live dealer games using Sweeps Coins (SC) and WOW Coins (WC). WOW Rips was designed to build on those products, and players were expected to use either virtual currency to collect cards.

According to WOW Vegas, WOW Rips comprised “Pokemon and multi-sport trading card packs.” Once opened, players decide whether to keep, sell, or store their collectibles.

Physical versions of cards were described by WOW Vegas, which outlined plans to “ship your cards directly to your door” upon request.

WOW Vegas Pulls WOW Rips Days After Launch

WOW Vegas published advertisements for its WOW Rips campaign across social media channels, email communications, and its sweepstakes website on Sept. 17. However, less than one week after revealing its new pack-based product, the prominent sweepstakes platform quietly pulled all mention of WOW Rips from public view.

The brand did not provide a reason for removing WOW Rips.

TheLines can reveal that high-value WOW Rips promotions were forecast to support the new product launch. Specifically, two WOW Vegas bonuses were on the docket:

• Free WOW Rips Pack: Players would have received a free WOW Rips pack worth 1 SC via their notification center.
• WOW Rips Launch Coin Sale: Users could have claimed 1.5M WOW Coins (WC) + 30 SC for $24.99 — a $5 discount.

Together, these offers may have allowed users to open more than 25 WOW Rips packs. It is not clear which Pokémon cards or sports were to be included in WOW Rips at this time.

Further, this offer carried an expiry date of Sept. 25, 2026. On Monday, Sept. 21, neither promotion was active.

Perhaps most telling is that remnants of WOW Rips remain visible within WOW Vegas’ website code, including a “WOW Rips tab” headline comprising an option to unlock an “RPK_Pokemon_Starter_Pack.”

WOW Vegas Silently Delivers Improved Coin Bundle 

Although WOW Rips is not currently available — and with that, its associated promotions are also unattainable — alternative bonuses have been published.

The WOW Vegas Coin Store now houses a bundle worth 1.5M WC + 30 SC Free for just $9.99, a 200% discount. By contrast, the WOW Rips Launch Coin Sale offered the same quantity of virtual currency for $24.99.

Meanwhile, another sweepstakes casino bonus comprising 500K WC + 10 Casino SC Free + 5 Sports SC Free is available for $9.99. The sports portion is eligible for use across WOW Picks selections.

Will WOW Rips Return To WOW Vegas Sweepstakes Casino?

There has been no written statement detailing the reason behind the removal of WOW Rips by WOW Vegas.

Given the sudden nature of the feature’s retreat, it is reasonable to speculate that licensing issues or technical gripes were primary drivers of this rapid unwinding. But with frontend code still transparently visible on WOW Vegas today, it is equally reasonable to anticipate that WOW Rips may return in the future.
