The Play-In Tournament kicks off on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 with the 7th seed vs. eighth seed matching up in each conference. In the East, the Miami Heat will host the Atlanta Hawks at 7:30 p.m. EDT., followed by the 7th-seeded LA Lakers hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at 10:30 p.m. EDT. Both games will air nationally on TNT.
The winner of each matchup will qualify for the playoffs as the seven seed. The loser will host an elimination game against the winner of the 9th seed vs. 10th seed in its respective conference.
The 9th and 10th seeds will play their own single elimination games on Wednesday night. The Toronto Raptors welcome the Chicago Bulls at 7:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN, before the Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder faceoff in New Orleans at 10:00 p.m. EDT, also on ESPN.
