All odds for our Week 8 NFL best bets come from one of Canada's top sportsbooks: Betway.
Carolina Panthers vs. Green Bay Packers -3.5
The Packers (4-3) had their three-game win streak snapped in their last game, falling 20-17 to the Detroit Lions, while the Panthers had won two in a row before a 43-13 blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their last game.
The Panthers scored only 14 points in their last game but rank sixth in the league in scoring, averaging 26.5 ppg. They are not very balanced, ranking second in passing yards per game, only 21st in rushing yards per game, and 27th in points allowed per game.
The Packers have been playing well on defense lately, giving up an average of 13.5 ppg over their last four games. Jordan Love has played pretty well this season but has gotten little help from the run game, as Green Bay ranks dead last in the league in rushing yards per game. However, Josh Jacobs is back after a five-game suspension and had only 36 rushing yards in his last game, but look for him to break out in this game against a Carolina run defence that ranks last in the NFL and gave up 258 rushing yards in the last game.

Best Bet: Packers -3.5: (-110, Betway)
Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions Over 45.5
When these two teams met in Week 1, the total went Over, and I'm taking that pick in this NFC North game. This even though the Vikings rank first in the league in scoring defence (12.3 ppg) and only 23rd in scoring (20.8 ppg)
Jared Goff is having a solid season and leads a Lions (4-2) offence that ranks second in scoring (30.7 ppg) but only 26th in points allowed (27.5 ppg). While the ground game leads Minnesota, their lead RB Aaron Jones Sr. did not practice Wednesday and is listed as questionable, so Kyler Murray may have to air it out more often.
In Week 1, these teams combined for 61 points, and while they may not reach that total on Sunday,, the Over is still the pick.
Best Bet: Over 45.5 points: (-110, Betway)
Baltimore Ravens vs. Buffalo Bills -3.5
The Ravens (4-2) have lost two in a row, totaling only 23 points, but that was without Lamar Jackson, who will be back for this game. That will help, but the team still ranks 18th in opponents’ ppg (23.9 ppg) and will face Josh Allen and a Bills (5-1) offence that is the highest-scoring team in the league (32.8 ppg) and has totaled 70 points in its last two games.
Buffalo has defensive issues, ranking 30th in opponents’ ppg, but they are at home, rested off a bye, and are the pick to win and cover the spread. Also, while 4-2, the Ravens haven't beaten a team with a winning record.
Best Bet: Bills -3.5: (+105, Betway)

Chicago Bears vs. Seattle Seahawks -3.5
The Bears (5-2) have won two in a row and four of their last five games. Caleb Williams is back under center; the Bears rank in the top 10 in scoring and scoring defence and have the league's top-ranked rushing offence. However, they face a Seahawks (4-3) team coming off their most impressive game of the season: a 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, handing them their first loss of the season.
Sam Darnold and the Seattle offense will be ok in this game, but their defense will shine once again, which is why they are the pick to win and cover.
Best Bet: Seahawks -3.5: (+105, Betway)
