NFL Best Bets for Week 6
Seattle Seahawks -2.5 vs. Denver Broncos
The Seahawks (3-2) are coming off a close 32-29 loss to the 49ers, and the Broncos (3-2) are coming off a 24-17 win over the winless Chargers. Seattle has been solid on both sides of the ball this season, but their defence has dipped lately, allowing at least 30 points in each of the last three games.
Denver has been up and down this season, and while they rank a respectable 13th (22.2 ppg) in points allowed per game, they only rank 26th in scoring (19.4 ppg). Their only losses have come to the Chiefs and 49ers, who are both 4-0. The Broncos have a banged-up secondary that Sam Darnold will expose, and the defending-champion Seahawks will win and cover the short spread.
Best Bet: Seahawks -2.5 – (-114, bet365)

New York Jets vs. New England Patriots -7.5
The Jets (2-3) snapped their three-game losing streak in their last game, and while they rank tied for fifth in opponents’ points allowed (19.2 ppg), they only rank tied for 27th in scoring (18.6 ppg).
The Patriots (3-2) have won two in a row, totalling 74 points. Their defence ranks fourth in the NFL, only giving up 18.8 ppg on average. Still, their offence has been legit in the last two games; in the last one, they scored 45 points and racked up over 500 yards of total offense.
While New York has played good defence for the most part, they gave up 31 points in the one game they faced a great offense.
The Pats are 4-1 ATS this season, and they covered both games over the Jets last season, winning each by double figures. At home, they will play a third straight good game, win, and cover the spread, even giving more than a TD.
Best Bet: Patriots -6.5 – (-104, Bet365)
Buffalo Bills vs. Las Vegas Raiders Over 53.5 points
The Bills (4-1) are coming off a thrilling 37-34 OT win over the Rams on Monday night, while the Raiders (3-2) have lost two in a row after a 3-0 start. While the Raiders scored only 17 points in their last game, they still rank ninth in scoring, averaging 26.4 ppg.
Buffalo is tied for first in the NFL, averaging 32.8 ppg, but their defence ranks 28th, giving up 28.2 ppg. In this Sin City game, you have two solid offences and a couple of struggling defences, and the two teams combined to give up 79 points in Week 5.
The total has gone Over in the Raiders' last three games and in four of the Bills' last five games this season. Yeah, expect a lot of offensive fireworks in this game, so the Over is the pick.
Best Bet: Over 53.5 points – (-107, Bet365)

Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers -1.5
This is one I would jump on, and it's hard to believe the Packers are just a 1.5-point favourites at home. They have won two in a row and are coming off their best game of the season, a 31-7 beatdown over the Bears. On the other side of the coin, the Cowboys (2-3) are coming off a bad 24-16 loss to a Buccaneers team that came in winless and started an undrafted rookie quarterback.
Dallas’ only two wins have come against teams with a combined one win.
The Packers take it to the Cowboys at Lambeau Field, giving up only 1.5 points at home.
Best Bet: Packers -1.5 – (-107, Bet365)
Washington Commanders vs. San Francisco 49ers -7.5
Washington (1-3-1) head coach Dan Quinn and quarterback Jayden Daniels have been crucified in the press this week after terrible late clock management in their last game, a 27-27 tie with the New York Giants. They were in field goal range and had time, but Quinn decided to run one more play with no timeouts, and Daniels elected to get tackled for no gain rather than throw the ball out of bounds, and the clock ran out.
The 49ers moved to 5-0 with a 32-29 win over the defending champion Seahawks in their last game. While Daniels is back and gives Washington hope, they have no chance against a San Fran team that ranks third in scoring and opponents’ points allowed, is at home, and has looked like the best team in the NFL through five weeks.
Best Bet: 49ers -7.5 – (-110, Bet365)
