CFL Picks and Parlays Today: Best Props and Picks for Sept. 26 – Cats vs. Elks

In a cross-division matchup on Saturday night, the Edmonton Elks host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In this CFL picks and parlays piece, we lay out the latest odds and share our top parlays and prop bets we believe offer good value.

CFL Picks and Parlays Today 

No surprise, Betway Sportsbook has Edmonton as the favorite at -7.5 with the total sitting at 57.5.

Edmonton (10-4) had their four-game win streak snapped in their last game, losing 24-19 to Toronto, but they are still atop the West Division and have already secured a playoff berth. Hamilton (4-10) looks to stop the bleeding in their first matchup with the Elks this season, as they have lost four in a row and are fighting to make the playoffs.

The Elks are coming off a bye and have won both games this season after a week off. This season, they are 6-1 at home, while the Tiger-Cats are only 1-5 on the road. Edmonton ranks first in the CFL on defence, giving up an average of 24.8 ppg, and that unit will face a Hamilton offense that ranks second to last in scoring (23.5 ppg).

One major concern for the Tiger-Cats is turnovers, and while QB Harrison Frost threw for 330 yards and three TDs in the 37-25 loss to Montreal in the last game, he threw four INTs. He will face an Elks’ pass defense that has 21 picks this season.

Hamilton is 0-4 ATS in their last four games, and I am sticking with that trend. The Elks are at home, rested after a bye week, and will win and cover against a Tiger-Cats team that has lost three of its last four games by double figures.

Hamilton vs. Edmonton Parlay #1: Hamilton Loses Again 

• Edmonton to win and cover: While the Elks are coming off a loss, they are also coming off a bye and have the second-best record in the CFL. On the other side of the coin, Hamilton has lost four in a row and has the second-worst record in the league. The Tiger-Cats have failed to cover in their last four games, while the Elks are 6-1 straight up and ATS in their seven home games this season.
• Over 57.5 points: Taking the Over in this one even though in their last game Edmonton only scored 19 points. The total has gone Over for Hamilton in three of their last four games, including their last two, when they gave up 37 points in each. Their defense will play poorly again,, and while they will give up points, they will score them as well, desperate to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The odds for this parlay are +257, so a $100 bet would pay out $357, for a $257 profit.

Hamilton vs. Edmonton Parlay #2: Elks Cover Twice 

• Edmonton to cover the 4.5-point first half spread: Edmonton will take advantage of a Hamilton team that has been down a combined 44-10 in the first half of the last two games.
• Edmonton to cover the 1.5-point first quarter spread. Just as the Elks will cover in the first half, they will cover the short first-quarter spread, as the Tiger-Cats have been held scoreless in the first quarter of the last two games, when they gave up 16 points.

The odds for this parlay are +265, so a $100 bet would pay out $365, for a $265 profit.
