CFL Picks and Parlays Today (Sept. 12)

We begin with our CFL best bets for today's action.

Ottawa vs. Toronto -10.5

The Redblacks (0-11) are the lone winless team in the CFL and lost to Toronto at home by 20 points earlier this season. The Argonauts (6-6) have won two of their last three games, with their only loss coming against an Edmonton team atop the West Division.

Even giving double digits, Toronto is the easy pick here. Ottawa has allowed the most points and scored the fewest in the CFL, and has failed to cover the spread in its last five games.

Best Bet: Toronto to cover – (-10.5, Sports Interaction)

Saskatchewan -1.5 vs. Winnipeg

These teams played last week in Saskatchewan, where the Roughriders (8-4) beat the Blue Bombers (6-6) 32-26 in overtime. In the win, Saskatchewan outgained Winnipeg 463 yards to 307 and held them to just 46 rushing yards, yet still won by only four points.

The Roughriders were a little sloppy in the last game, but they will clean it up and win and cover this Saturday for the third game in a row.

Best Bet: Saskatchewan to cover – (-1.5, Sports Interaction)

Calgary vs. Edmonton -2.5

In another game between two teams that played last week, the Elks (9-3) host the Stampeders (5-7), whom they beat on the road in the last game, 38-28. Calgary controlled the game until the fourth quarter, when they fell apart and were outscored 24-3.

So, Edmonton was on the road in the last game as a 1.5-point favourite and won by 10 points. Now at home, the Elks are only 2.5-point favourites? Yeah, jump on this one, as the Elks have won three in a row, and the Stampeders have lost three of their last four games. They have yet to beat a team with a winning record this season.

Best Bet: Edmonton to cover – (-2.5, Sports Interaction)

Montreal vs BC Lions Over 63.5

Last week in Montreal, the Alouettes beat the BC Lions 37-30.

The Alouettes (10-2) are the second-highest scoring team in the league, led by QB Davis Alexander, who has the second most passing yards, and the star WR duo of Tyson Philpot and Tyler Snead, who rank first and third, respectively, in receiving yards.

The Lions (6-6) had won four in a row before losing to Montreal in their last game, and in their last four games, have averaged 33.8 ppg. Both of these teams' last two games have gone Over, and that is the money pick for this game.

Best Bet: Over 63.5 – (-110, Sports Interaction)
