Montreal (9-1) has the best record in the CFL, and they have won seven in a row. This is their first game of the season against the Blue Bombers, and while they lost to them twice in the regular season last year, they beat them in the playoffs.

Winnipeg (5-5) is in third place in the West Division, tied with the BC Lions. They have lost three of their last four games, with the only win coming against the winless Ottawa Redblacks.

Blue Bombers Can’t Hold On

One thing the Blue Bombers have going for them is that they lead the league in pass defense, giving up an average of 268.8 passing yards per game. DT Jake Ceresna and DE Willie Jefferson are tied for second in the league with six sacks apiece, and they need to pressure Alexander and not give him time in the pocket, which is a tall task facing a more than solid Montreal offensive line.
