Bayern Munich Open to Davies Exit?

According to recent reports, Bayern Munich is ready to listen to offers for Alphonso Davies. The Canada captain has not long come back from a thigh injury, and it could take some time for the 25-year-old to get back up to speed.

Davies’ time in Bavaria might be coming to an end, but the left-back will not be shy of suitors if he does indeed seek greener pastures. When Davies is fit and firing on all cylinders, he remains one of the best in his position.

Canada Reach the Last 16

Davies returned to Bayern training on Thursday after making a cameo appearance for Canada in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. After suffering the injury setback in May, he was unlikely to play a big role for his national team in the tournament, and Davies played just 15 minutes.

Canada had a memorable World Cup as a co-host, picking up its first point, first victory, and reaching the knockout phase for the very first time.

Davies came on as a late substitute in the 1-0 victory over South Africa in the Round of 32. The triumph in California is one of Canada’s greatest soccer moments of all time. Unfortunately, Jesse Marsch left him out completely in the last-16 loss to Morocco.

Could Davies Be On the Move This Summer?

Going by recent rumours, Davies and his agent are holding off on contract negotiations at the Allianz Arena. Bayern are apparently open to letting him leave this summer, which will no doubt put many top clubs on red alert.

Canada’s captain is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, and the incredible Saudi Pro League money could be enough to persuade Davies to make the move to the Middle East.

However, he has been in Europe for over seven years, and the UEFA Champions League is the pinnacle of club competitions. He could opt to stay in the top European leagues or even fight for his place in the Bayern team. At 25, Davies still has a lot to offer at the very top of the game.
