Despite David having four years left on his contract in Turin, Juve boss Luciano Spalletti could be ready to offload the striker. The Canada forward, who was born in New York, has hardly set the world alight at the Juventus Stadium since joining in July 2025.

He endured a tough first season in Italy, scoring just six goals in 35 Serie A games. David was a regular in the team but only managed eight goals across all competitions for the Italian giant.

The former Lille star showed his goalscoring prowess in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. David was one of Canada’s standout players, helping Jesse Marsch’s men reach the last 16 against all odds.

David scored a hat-trick in the 6-0 group victory over Qatar, becoming the first player from North America to net a World Cup treble for 96 years.

Aston Villa has been busy this summer, with many players coming and going at Villa Park. Johan Manzambi was signed for £60m, while Joao Gomes has arrived for almost £40m.
