AFC Bournemouth’s Daniel Jebbison Linked with EFL Championship Loan Move

Canada international Daniel Jebbison has been linked with a loan move away from AFC Bournemouth, with several EFL Championship clubs ready to pounce.

Jebbison has been loaned out to Watford and Preston North End since moving to the Vitality Stadium in 2024, and the Ontario-born attacker could be on the road again this summer.

Is Jebbison Heading Back to the Championship?

If recent reports are to be true, new Bournemouth boss Marco Rose will listen to loan offers for Jebbison. Since signing a four-year deal with the Cherries in 2024, first-team opportunities at the Vitality have been hard to come by.

In two years, the Canadian striker has made just 16 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth, scoring one league goal.

He went to Watford in the 2024-25 season but failed to score in 13. His record for Preston in the 2025-26 campaign was slightly better, but six goals in 38 hardly set the world alight.

According to recent reports, Wrexham, Birmingham City, and Southampton are interested. All three are expected to fight at the top end of the Championship table this season, and Jebbison could benefit from a move to any of these clubs.

Time for the Canadian to Make a Permanent Move Away?

Jebbison was recently linked with Blackburn Rovers, but the loan-to-buy proposal fell through late on. The 22-year-old has impressed in pre-season and is ready to seek first-team action.

Game time could be limited under Rose, but Jebbison has always expressed his desire to stay at the Vitality and fight for his place. However, could now be the right time to move on?

Jebbison will turn 23 in August, so he very much has time on his side. That said, the Canada international needs to be playing regular soccer. Alongside a handful of Championship clubs, Italian Serie A side Genoa CFC is also showing interest.

He was making positive strides in the national team but was somewhat surprisingly left out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad. A successful move away from Bournemouth could put the striker back in Jesse Marsch’s plans.
