Toronto FC suffered another MLS defeat on Saturday night, losing to in-form St. Louis City SC in Missouri.

The loss at Energizer Park was Toronto’s ninth MLS defeat of the 2026 season. Robin Fraser’s boys sit 12th in the Eastern Conference, while St. Louis has moved up to third in the West.

Bad Night in Missouri

Toronto recently went seven games unbeaten in MLS, winning three and drawing four. However, the undefeated streak was ended at Orlando City SC last weekend, and Fraser’s men were beaten again on Saturday.

St. Louis is the form soccer team in America right now, not losing for 16 league matches. Since a 2-0 loss at Austin FC in May, which was third straight MLS defeat, City has won 11 and drawn five of 16.

Yoann Damet’s troops put on another show for their home fans on Saturday, easing to a 3-1 victory over the Canadians.

Toronto held out until Carlo Holse’s effort in the 41st minute. Tomas Totland and Simon Becher added goals in the second period before Theo Corbeanu’s consolation strike.

Another Tough Test Awaits in Nashville
