Toronto FC Aims to Bounce Back in Missouri

The Reds’ impressive unbeaten streak was ended in Florida last weekend, and this will be another tough MLS test for the Canadians. Still, can they stun the home team at Energizer Park?

Can Toronto End City’s Undefeated Streak?

St. Louis is the form team in MLS right now, unbeaten in league action since early May. Yoann Damet has transformed the club, with City winning ten and drawing five of its last 15 regular-season matches.

After a 2-2 tie with Portland Timbers, St. Louis got back to winning ways last weekend, beating Minnesota United 4-2 at Energizer Park. Damet’s boys are unbeaten on home turf in the league since April.

Getting the better of in-form St. Louis will be a tall order for Toronto, but Fraser’s men have turned a corner of late. Before last weekend, the Reds won three and drew four of seven MLS fixtures.

However, the Canadians were poor last time out, with goals from Antoine Griezmann, Harvey Sarajian, and Ivan Angulo giving Orlando City SC a deserved 3-0 victory at the Inter.co Stadium in downtown Orlando.

St. Louis Entertains Reds for First Time

Since St. Louis made its MLS debut in 2023, these two sides have only met once. The only previous meeting took place in Ontario in July 2023.

It was a tight and cagey matchup at BMO Field, with the away team running out 1-0 winners. Aziel Jackson got the only goal of the game to give the Missouri side all three points.

St. Louis has shot up to fifth in the Western Conference table after the excellent run, five points behind leader Vancouver Whitecaps. Meanwhile, Toronto is 12th in the East, taking 29 points from 25 games.
