Montreal Searching for First MLS Win Since May

Having claimed just one victory in the last seven games, Montreal has slipped down to 13th in the Eastern Conference standings. The Canadians are desperate to end the poor run on home soil this weekend.

Eullaffroy’s Positive Impact in Quebec

Montreal fired Marco Donadel in April after a dreadful run of form. Philippe Eullaffroy was brought in on an interim basis, and the new boss snapped the losing streak in game one, guiding the Impact to a stunning 4-1 home victory over New York Red Bulls.

Wins against New York City FC and Orlando City SC followed, but Montreal has gone on to draw three and lose two of the next five.

Before the 2026 FIFA World Cup break, Eullaffroy’s side battled to a goalless tie with Canadian rival Toronto FC. The club then returned to action with a narrow away loss to Nashville SC in midweek.
