Toronto FC is looking for its first victory in any competition since seeing off Colorado Rapids in a five-goal thriller at BMO Field in early April.

The Reds are back in MLS action this weekend, facing New England Revolution on home turf. Toronto is closing in on an unwanted club record, and the pressure is on Robin Fraser.

Has the Break Re-Energized the Reds?

With other MLS teams in Leagues Cup action, Toronto has not played a game for two weeks. After going 13 matches without a victory, was the break what Fraser and his boys needed?

Toronto has forgotten what winning feels like, having gone over four months without one. Saturday, 4th April, was the date of its last victory, as Fraser’s men came from two goals down to beat Colorado 3-2 at BMO Field.

Since then, the Canadians have tied seven and lost six of their following 13 league and cup matches. Toronto is winless in 12 in MLS and suffered a 3-1 Canadian Championship loss to Atletico Ottawa in May.

Toronto Ready to Return Home

After a gruelling MLS schedule on the road, Toronto is ready to return home this weekend. TFC’s last fixture on home soil was in May.

Fraser’s troops have endured six away games in a row, losing three and drawing three. In the last one, Toronto did manage to pick up a point in a 1-1 tie with New York City FC at Yankee Stadium.

Toronto welcomes New England to BMO Field this weekend. While the home team languishes in 12th place in the current Eastern Conference standings, New England is flying high in third.

The Revs have had inconsistent form in recent weeks, winning only one of their last five MLS matches. Last time out, Marko Mitrovic’s men suffered a 2-0 home reverse to Houston Dynamo FC.

With the pressure mounting on coach Fraser, Toronto desperately needs a win. Can the Canadian club finally snap its 13-game winless streak this weekend?
