Can CF Montreal End Winless Streak?

With CF Montreal winless in seven MLS matches, the Impact are desperate for three points this weekend. Philippe Eullaffroy’s men entertain DC United in an intriguing league game at Saputo Stadium.
This will be another challenging test for the Canadians, but can they break their losing streak and secure a crucial three points?
No MLS Win Since May
It has been over two months since Montreal’s last victory in MLS. The Impact beat Orlando City SC 2-0 at home in early May, which was the club’s third victory in four MLS matches.
It has gone downhill since then, though, as the Quebec outfit has tied four and lost three of its following seven league fixtures. Since returning from the 2026 FIFA World Cup break, Montreal has taken just two points from a possible 12.
After back-to-back losses to Nashville SC and Inter Miami CF, Montreal did manage to pick up a point in its last fixture. Eullaffroy’s boys were two goals down by half time, but second-half strikes from Brayan Vera and Prince Owusu rescued a point for the Canadians.
Will DC Be a Tough Nut to Crack?
Saturday’s clash against DC United at Saputo Stadium will be tough for Montreal. The club from the capital is looking to nail down a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, as United currently sits ninth on 23 points.
Rene Weiler has made DC difficult to beat of late, with the Black-and-Red suffering just one MLS defeat since April. Since a 3-1 home reverse to Chicago Fire FC, United is undefeated in five, though four of those have been draws.
Just like Montreal, DC United came from two goals down to draw 2-2 in its last MLS match. The Eagles will be eager to earn all three points in Canada this weekend after too many recent ties.
This fascinating fixture at Saputo Stadium is huge for both teams, but who will come out on top in Quebec?
