Saskatchewan is the 7.5-point favorite in this game at the best Canadian sportsbooks, with the total sitting at 62 points.

RedBlacks Look to Crack the Win Column 

The RedBlacks will aim to get their first win of the season in Week 10 and need to play better than they did last week, when they were throttled by the Montreal Alouettes, 34-13. Jake Maier passed for 311 yards in the game with one touchdown while throwing a pick. He has only thrown for three TDs in the last four games, alongside six interceptions.

Besides a subpar defense, Ottawa has been losing by relying too much on Maier and lacking a ground attack. Greg Bell leads the team with 217 rushing yards over six games, has less than 20 yards in two of the last three, and is only averaging 3.8 yards per run.

Out of nine teams, Ottawa ranks eighth in both yards per game and points per game and also ranks second to last in points allowed.

Big Win for Saskatchewan 

The Roughriders are coming off a solid win over the Edmonton Elks, handing them their second loss of the season. Veteran Trevor Harris passed for 239 yards with a TD and an INT, Quali Conley rushed for 61 yards, and Dhel Duncan-Busby had 66 receiving yards.

The Roughriders are a balanced team that ranks third in the CFL in points per game, passing yards per game, overall yards per game, and opponents’ points per game.

Saskatchewan beat Edmonton with an injury-depleted lineup and will still be without some key players when it takes on Ottawa.

The Little Things Matter

When these teams met earlier in the season, the Roughriders won the secondary battles. The teams had nearly the same number of yards, but Saskatchewan had the better ground game, more tackles for loss, and far fewer penalties.

The RedBlacks have to clean up their play and definitely forget about their last game against Montreal, where they were smoked. It has been shown that Maier cannot do it all, as the running game and defense have to pitch in. While posting solid yardage numbers, the Ottawa QB has failed to find the end zone, a major issue.

Now is the time for the Roughriders

After playing some good teams in recent weeks, the Roughriders' schedule eases up. That will be key, as they are at 5-2 and nipping at the heels of the Edmonton Elks, who lead the West Division. First, they face a winless Ottawa team on the road, and their next two games are at home against the BC Lions and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who are a combined 5-10.
