Bet365 Ontario Sportsbook Review for 2026: Is Bet365 in Ontario Legit?

Written By John Carlo Villaruel , Sports Betting Expert for TheLines.com

Unlike before, finding a sportsbook in Ontario isn’t exactly difficult these days. The challenge, however, is figuring out which ones are actually worth your time and that’s what led us into this bet365 Ontario sportsbook review.

Given how often bet365 comes up in conversations among bettors, we wanted to see whether it’s actually as good as people say or if it’s just all hype. Keep scrolling as we’ll look at what bet365 gets right and where it falls short so you’ll have an idea on what to expect when you sign up for an account.

Bet365: Pros and Cons
Bet365: Pros and Cons
  • Multiple sports and betting markets
  • Live betting
  • Easy-to-use mobile app
  • Simple registration process
  • Identity verification required

Is bet365 good enough?

Here at TheLines.com, we spend a lot of time checking and testing Ontario betting apps so we have a rough idea by now on what works and what doesn’t. One thing we love about bet365 is how easy everything is for a sportsbook that offers this much. There’s plenty going on the moment you open the bet365 website but what’s impressive here is that it doesn’t actually feel overwhelming once you are scrolling through it.

Instead of throwing everything at you all at once, bet365 does a solid job of spacing things out in a way that still feels easy to follow. The homepage is divided into clear sections for sports and live betting so you’re not left guessing where to go first. On the left, you’ll see all the main sports categories laid out in a fixed sidebar so you can move between sports without constantly resetting your place in the page.

If that’s not good enough, placing a bet is also really easy. All you have to do is click on the event you are interested in and the bet slip slides out instantly so you can review your selections without leaving the page. From there, you’ll just need to enter your stake and confirm your bet. We like that you can do everything without having to reload the page or lose your place in the event you were just looking at.

What we would like to point out, however, is that betting odds really move quickly when you are live betting. This means that you may need to click on the Auto Allow Odds and Line Changes option on your bet slip if you want to avoid constant re-confirmations every time the price moves before your bet is accepted. The constant price movement really caught us off guard at first because we really wanted to place a bet on Canada to win in their 2026 World Cup opener versus Bosnia and Herzegovina following that Cyle Larin equalizer in the 78th minute.

However, the odds kept on changing mid-click and required us to re-confirm our bet so we ultimately just walked away from it. Although it wound up being a good decision since the match ended up in a 1-1 stalemate, it would've been better if bet365 made everything a bit smoother here, particularly when it comes to reducing how often bettors are forced to re-accept updated odds while trying to place a bet.

How does the bet365 mobile app do?

Although we couldn’t tell how things would’ve been if we placed our bet in the app during the Canada-Bosnia and Herzegovina match, we like to think that it could’ve been a lot better. That’s because you can easily find the Auto Allow Odds and Line Changes option in the bet365 app compared to the desktop version. However, that’s only just the tip of the iceberg as far as what the bet365 app brings to the table.

What we like about the bet365 app is the market rarely freezes or suspends. A case in point was when we tried using it for the UFC Freedom 250 main event between Justin Gaethje and Ilia Topuria. As many of you all know, we used so many Ontario betting sites when placing action because that’s pretty much how you can one-up these sportsbooks. What we’ve noticed though is that the Gaethje-Topuria betting markets didn’t suspend even after huge exchanges in the second round, which is usually where most pull the plug or at least pause live betting. Instead, the lines kept adjusting and that allowed us to get Gaethje at a solid 5/1 odds even as the momentum swung in his favor.

Even more impressive is that you can also watch the action directly on the bet365 app using its live streaming feature which makes it easier to follow what’s happening inside the court or in this case, in the Octagon. This way, you can make your analysis and place your bets based on that instead of relying on odds updates, which sometimes doesn’t tell the whole story as you can see in the example we’ve just mentioned above where Gaethje was still an underdog after the second even though he had Topuria all bloodied and under pressure.

How long do deposits and withdrawals take at bet365?

Live betting is not the only thing bet365 does well. One area that really caught our attention was how easy it was to deposit and withdraw from your account. As mentioned in this Power Play Ontario review and here, we've tested plenty of sportsbooks over the years and it's not uncommon to run into limited payment options and withdrawal requests that seem to take forever. Fortunately, that wasn't the case with bet365.

Depositing in bet365

The thing we really like about bet365 is the number of deposit options available. Initially, we thought that you can only deposit via credit and debit cards because that’s usually the standard option offered by most Ontario sportsbooks. What we later realized was that you actually have several ways to deposit into your account as you see in the table below.

bet365 Payment MethodMinimum Deposit
Debit Card$10
Credit Card$10
Apple Pay$10
paysafecard$10
Google Pay$10
Interac e-Transfer$10
Payz$10

What’s more is that deposits are credited to your account almost instantly regardless of what payment method you are using. As we’ve talked about above, we placed some action on the Gaethje-Topuria fight. What we didn’t tell you, however, is that it wasn’t until the end of the first round when we decided to add funds to our account. This was actually something we did intentionally because we wanted to see how quickly we could go from having no balance to placing a live bet once the fight was underway. The result was that we barely had to wait at all to the point that we were able to get the odds we wanted on the Gaethje moneyline bet.

Withdrawing from bet365

Surprisingly enough, taking money out from bet365 is just as easy although there are a couple of things you should know before making a withdrawal so you don’t constantly get rejected. For example, you have to complete the Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification process first. Quite frankly, this is something that we recommend doing as soon as you create your account rather than waiting until you’re ready to cash out. After, the last thing you want is to have a winning bet settled and then find out that your withdrawal is delayed because bet365 still needs to confirm your identity.

After verifying your identity, you also have to make sure that you are withdrawing money using a payment method that matches the one you used to deposit. For instance, if you’ve deposited money via PayPal, you will have to withdraw your funds back to the same Paypal account to avoid any delays.. Now that you understand the basics about withdrawing money from your bet365 account, here’s a quick look on how much you can withdraw and how long withdrawal takes using different payment methods.

Payment MethodProcessing TimeMinimum WithdrawalMaximum Withdrawal
Wire TransferWithin 12 hours$10$25,000
Interac e-Transfer1-4 hours$10$10,000
Credit card1-4 hours$10$40,000
Debit card1-4 hours$10$40,000
Apple Pay1-2 banking days$10$40,000
Payz1-4 hours$10$30,000

Checking out bet365’s customer service

As we’ve gone through this bet365 review, one thing we start to notice is that variety is somehow what bet365 wants to be known for whether that’d be sports and betting markets or payment methods. That trend continues when it comes to customer support. Unlike other sportsbooks who only do the bare minimum of offering phone and email support, bet365 takes everything a step further with its 24/7 live chat. By live chat, we mean an actual conversation with an agent rather than canned responses from a chatbot.

If that’s not good enough, getting in touch with an agent just takes a couple of minutes regardless of the time of the day so you can actually get the help you need when you need it. Moreover, bet365 also offers support via phone, email, and its social media channels such as X although responses here are a bit slower and could take as long as a couple of days during our testing.

How to get started at bet365?

After reading everything, then there’s a good chance that you’re already interested in joining bet365 and trying it out for yourself. The good news is that it doesn’t take a lot of time or effort to get started even if you don’t have a bet365 sportsbook promo code. It is, however, important to remember that you have to be at least 19 years old and reside in Ontario to sign up for an account. Once you’ve met those requirements, then you can check the step-by-step guide below to see how you can create a bet365 account right now.

  1. Visit the bet365 website by tapping the banners on this page

  2. Click Join and fill in your personal details such as your name, date of birth, and address

  3. Complete the registration process by verifying your email address

  4. Make an initial deposit of at least $10

Although you can place action on your favourite sports after doing all of that, we suggest that you verify your identity first so you can avoid any issues when you make a withdrawal. You can easily verify your identity by simply tapping on the Verification option under the My Account tab. You’ll then be redirected to another page where you have to upload a copy of your government-issued ID and a proof of address document such as bank statements and utility bills. Give or take, the whole identity verification thing can take up to three days although it roughly took only 18 hours on our part.

Join bet365 today and start backing your favourite teams

After spending time testing bet365 from top to bottom, we understand why it has become such a popular choice among Ontario bettors. There’s a lot to like here from its functional mobile app and massive sports and betting markets to multiple deposit and withdrawal options and a really helpful customer support.

Of course, it isn’t perfect with the frequent changes of betting odds on the desktop version but the good news is that you can always enable the Auto Allow Odds and Line Changes option or switch to the mobile app if you want to place your action right away. You can get started with bet365 today by following the step-by-step guide we’ve just mentioned or by simply clicking on any bet365 banners you can see on this page.
