Among the many betting markets for college basketball odds, FanDuel Sportsbook provides a snapshot of select teams on the bubble of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. As we approach Selection Sunday on March 16, many questions remain regarding big-named programs like North Carolina and Xavier. Below are FanDuel's latest March Madness bracketology odds.
While the Tar Heels' second-round matchup in the ACC tournament is set, their to-do list to earn an at-large berth is anything but. They must tally at least a few victories and receive assistance from the rest of the bubble. According to the betting odds above, UNC has a 19.6% implied probability of punching their ticket into March Madness.
In the quarterfinals, North Carolina will face Wake Forest, which narrowly snuck by in their lone regular-season meeting. Duke, which just completed a sweep of UNC, will likely await the winner in the semifinals.
To say the least, I'm skeptical of the Tar Heels' chances to secure a spot in the First Four. However, for bettors who believe they can upset Duke in a potential rematch, their moneyline price tag may have more value than betting on their bracketology odds.
For reference, UNC was a consensus +370 ML underdog before falling to the Blue Devils in their regular-season finale.

Sean Miller's crew has flown under the radar amid its seven-game winning streak. As I noted in my betting guide for Big East tournament odds, their AdjD rivals the likes of Auburn and Texas Tech during this span. If Xavier knocks off Marquette in their quarterfinals affair, it's primed to go dancing. Their 69.7% implied probability illustrates that.
