March Madness Mulligan: DraftKings Offering Do Over Bracket And Survivor Pools For Sweet 16

Written By Matt Burke on March 23, 2021

The first four days of the NCAA tournament are always filled with unpredictable upsets, but the 2021 Big Dance takes the cake when it comes to shockers. Gone from the tournament are powerhouses like Illinois, Texas, Ohio State, Purdue, Iowa, Kansas and Virginia. Teams that are still dancing include the likes of Loyola Chicago, Oral Roberts and Oregon State. Needless to say, your bracket is probably busted.

Fortunately, DraftKings Sportsbook is giving you a March Madness mulligan.

DK is giving new and existing users the opportunity to pick a new set of brackets ahead of the Sweet 16.

Do over bracket pools

DraftKings Sportsbook has “Second Chance Bracket Pools” with big money prizes. Here is a breakdown of the pools at DK Sportsbook.

$100K Second Chance Bracket: $20 entry fee. $100,000 in total prizes. $50,000 to first place. Max entries per user is 20. Unlimited number of total entrants.

$20K Second Chance Bracket: $200 entry fee. $20,000 in total prizes. $10,000 to first place. Max entries per user is 20. Unlimited number of total entrants.

By picking the correct teams in your “Clean Slate” bracket, you’ll earn a shot at winning a share of the prize pools. Sweet 16 games will be worth 10 points per correct pick, Elite 8 games will be worth 20 points, Final Four games will be worth 40 and the National Championship game will be worth 80.

Here is how to play:

  • Sign up with DraftKings Sportsbook by going here
  • Go to “Pools” on the DraftKings Sportsbook homepage
  • Find “Second Chance Bracket”
  • Pick the winners for the remaining 15 games of the 2021 NCAA men’s basketball tournament

Second chance survivor pools

DraftKings Sportsbook also has “Do-Over” survivor pools.

Both survivor pools offered by DraftKings Sportsbook give you a chance to win a share of $10,000. One of the “Second Chance Survivor Pools” has an entry fee of $20, and the other has an entry fee of $200.

The Survivor Pools work like your typical NFL Survivor Pool except instead of picking teams week-to-week you pick game-to-game (except in the Elite 8, where you pick one team across the four Monday and Tuesday games). If your pick wins, you advance. You may only pick one team once per entry.
