BetMGM Sportsbook is kicking off the start of the NFL season in groundbreaking fashion– debuting the first sportsbook at an NFL stadium.

Football fans looking to bet on the NFL can now do so just steps away from State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.

The two-story, 17,000-square-foot entertainment spot will be open year-round, providing customers with a place to bet, watch sports, eat, and enjoy other amenities.

BetMGM Unveils New Retail Sportsbook At State Farm Stadium In AZ

There was quite a turnout to commemorate the new BetMGM Sportsbook opening at State Farm Stadium, and that’s because it’s the first of its kind.

BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt and Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill kept alluding to the fact that having a sportsbook at an NFL stadium was inconceivable just a few years ago. When the opportunity to open the first one came around, neither company hesitated.

Bidwill commented that it took the companies only 16 months to draw up the designs, go through planning and approvals, and get the state-of-the-art sportsbook up and running.

The vision is to have the building open seven days a week, hosting more events than ever on the Great Lawn and creating more jobs for the city of Glendale.

BetMGM and the Cardinals feel they have created an entertainment destination that is giving consumers a fresh experience and breaking down barriers that have long lasted between sports and sports betting.

BetMGM Sportsbook Amenities

One of the best parts about the new retail BetMGM Sportsbook is that it will operate on game days as well as on non-event days.

It spans over two floors and 17,000 square feet and is located just steps from State Farm Stadium, making it the perfect destination for tailgaters that want to wager before the game.

Bettors can place a wager at the desk or use one of the sportsbook’s more than 25 betting kiosks on site.

But the location is much more than just a sportsbook. There is a 265-square-foot video wall, as well as indoor and outdoor dining options. The burger is supposed to be pretty darn good if you want to give it a try.

Throughout the year, the venue will serve as an outdoor music and comedy concert amphitheater.

The sportsbook will officially open to the public on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 9 a.m., just before the Cardinals’ home opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

More information on the property can be found here.
