BetMGM has made some sweet deals for new players to win site credit with football bets. For Halloween, they’ve got a deal you might say is for the birds.
This Thursday night, new BetMGM accounts in New Jersey can win $100 on a measly $1 moneyline bet on the Arizona Cardinals. All Arizona needs to do is score one point against the San Francisco 49ers, and bettors will find $100 in their account via site credits.
How to play
This promotion is only available to new accounts who have yet to take advantage of a new player promotion. $10 must be deposited and at least $1 must be bet. Winning payouts will be in $10 free bets to be used within seven days.
The best way to get the promotion is to download the BetMGM app and use the code TOPBET after making the moneyline wager. All promotions bets, including those using the site credit, will not be returned if canceled.
Great value, but…
It sounds easy, but this might be the hardest prop to take so far among the new player offers from one of America’s biggest books. The Niners have run up a 7-0 record on the back of a tenacious defense, led by rookie DL Nick Bosa and two wily vets at corner in DeAngelo Hall and Richard Sherman.
Rookie quarterback Kyler Murray has been constrained in most games and while he’s led his team to a 3-4-1 record, we’re still waiting to see that magic he spun to win the Heisman and pick up for Oklahoma right were the other #1 overall pick Baker Mayfield left off. This will certainly be the sternest test of his season so far.
This is the second time this year the Niners have been involved with the “Bet $1, Win $100” promotion. They were able to cash for their backers when they whitewashed Washington 9-0 at FedEx Field in a driving rain two weeks ago.
So far, the most challenging prop to take with this deal has been the Daniel Jones TD pass against the Patriots who hadn’t allowed one to ANY QB before the Giants traveled to Foxboro. Jones got the first, and it was a dandy to Golden Tate, who did most of the legwork.
What makes this week different? Honestly, this is a good initial bet to take. Both teams have a short week. Arizona may debut trade acquisition Kenyan Drake at RB after picking him up from the Dolphins earlier this week. San Fran may be looking ahead to their big Monday Night date with Seattle on Veteran’s Day (honestly, I don’t like the way schedules teams to play Thursday and then the following Monday. I think it puts the opposition at a major disadvantage). The Cardinals are over +300 odds most places to win at home.
But here’s what matters — can the Cardinals score? They should get at least one drive into the end zone. Sherman will renew his working relationship with long-time adversary Larry Fitzgerald. Murray may not need a costume for Thursday because he’ll be looking like the Roadrunner trying to escape the coyotes on the Niners’ defense. That’ll make something happen.
The 49ers are double-digit favorites on the road again, as they were in Washington. Covering might be easier since they’re playing in a dome and not a Mid-Atlantic downpour. However, if you haven’t signed up yet for BetMGM and their sharp app, this would be a good time to get involved.
