Bet365 Sportsbook Partners With 1/ST Technology Platform To Launch Horse Racing Product

Bet365 Sportsbook is bringing horse racing to its US customers. The book announced a partnership Wednesday with 1/ST Technology, a betting platform that will help launch a racing product down the line. Currently, FanDuel is one of the only sportsbooks to offer a horse racing product in the US.

1/ST Technology currently offers its own horse racing sportsbook, 1/ST BET, at Santa Anita Park and Gulfstream Park, among others. It's also the official sportsbook partner of the Preakness Stakes. Bet365 did not offer a timeline on when their horse racing product would launch.

Bet365, 1/ST Technology Partner To Launch Horse Racing Platform

As legal sports betting continues to grow in the US, so too is the accessibility and popularity of betting on horse racing. In 2022, records shattered surrounding the betting handle of Kentucky Derby odds. That year, $179M was wagered on the Run for the Roses, an 8% increase over the previous record (2019). Coincidentally, 2022 also marked a victory by Rich Strike – one of the longest shots ever to win the Kentucky Derby.

It's unclear whether bet365's product will be ready for this year's Derby, set to run on May 4. However, with 1/ST BET being the official betting platform of the Preakness Stakes, it would make sense for bet365 to have its horse racing platform live by then. This year's Preakness runs May 18.
