Nathan MacKinnon, Avalanche Over 0.5 Goals (-110, BetMGM): MacKinnon is a force to be reckoned with anytime he is on the ice. He finished the year with a career-high 53 goals and 74 assists for 127 points. MacKinnon has scored five times in his last 10 games. When he has two days of rest between contests, he’s even more effective. MacKinnon has 10 goals in his last nine games in that situation. Los Angeles is a tough defensive team but trying to contain the Avalanche for 60 minutes is a daunting task. Look for MacKinnon to find a way to light the lamp, even if it’s an empty net marker.
Nikita Kucherov, Lightning Over 0.5 Goals (+140, FanDuel): Kucherov is another explosive scorer that can make life tough for opposing netminders. He scored 44 goals and added 86 assists for 130 points in the regular season. Montreal had a great regular season but this comes down to playoff experience. Andrei Vasilevskiy has 120 playoff appearances, 115 starts, between the pipes for Tampa Bay. He has more Stanley Cup rings (two) than Jakub Dobes has playoff wins (one) in his career. Kucherov takes advantage of nerves and lights the lamp. The experience factor is why we’re backing Kucherov over Cole Caufield here.
David Pastrnak, Bruins Over 0.5 Goals (+180, BetMGM): Pastrnak was cold as the regular season closed, failing to dent the twine in any of his final 10 contests. It wasn’t from lack of effort as he picked up 10 assists in that span while firing 29 shots on goal. One team that Pastrnak has loved to face in his caree is the Sabres. He has at least one point in 15 of his last 16 games against Buffalo, including a goal in each of his last three. In his career, Pastrnak has 19 goals and 32 assists for 51 points in 45 career games against Buffalo. It would be no surprise for him to add to those numbers here.

Mammoth vs. Golden Knights Under 6.5 (-135, DraftKings): Since the Mammoth moved to Utah from Arizona, these teams have met six times. The under has posted a 4-1-1 mark in those contests. In the three meetings this season, we saw the teams combine for five, six and four goals. Only one of these six contests has seen the teams go over this number, a 4-3 Vegas win on November 2, 2024. That contest took overtime to get to that mark. Seeing how goals are a little more at a premium in the postseason, lean toward the under in this contest.
Avalanche -1.5 (-105, BetMGM): These teams met three times in the regular season. Colorado swept the meetings, outscoring Los Angeles 13-5 in those games. Each victory came by at least two goals with two of them coming by three goals. The Kings don’t have the firepower to keep up with what the Avalanche rolls out with all four lines. Throw in that Colorado led the league in goals against and things get that much tougher for the Kings here. Los Angeles was good on the road this season but playing at altitude against a team as complete as Colorado reads blowout city.
