As the NHL postseason’s first round rolls on, we’ve got a solid three-game slate on the ice for Wednesday. One of the three contests is an elimination game, while the other two series are deadlocked and seeking a 3-2 advantage. Let’s break down the schedule.

NHL Schedule

With this slate on the docket, there are some solid options for your NHL prop bets and anytime goal scorer picks across the league. It’s time for players to make a name for themselves. Let’s take a look at some of the top plays to help you walk away a winner at the window.

Anytime Goal Scorer Picks Today

Dylan Guenther, Mammoth Over 0.5 Goals (+175, FanDuel)

Guenther had a big regular season for the Mammoth, lighting the lamp 40 times in the regular season. That includes 17 goals in 39 road tilts during the regular season. He’s tallied twice and added two assists in four playoff games so far in the postseason. Guenther has fired plenty of rubber on the net, logging 20 shots on goal (and 44 shot attempts) already. That includes seven shots in Game 4. Seeing how aggressive he’s been in the offensive end; you can expect more rubber off the stick of number 11. It would be no surprise to see one find the back of the net in this contest.

Lane Hutson, Canadiens Over 0.5 Goals (+700, FanDuel)

Hutson is a stellar two-way defenseman who is more than capable of doing damage in the offensive end of the ice. He put up 66 points in 2024-25 and upped his output to 78 points in 2025-26. His goal total doubled from six to 12 this season. Hutson has two goals and two assists in the four games of this series.  That includes the overtime winner in Game 3. He has recorded 11 shots on goal so far in the series and that doesn’t count clanking the pipe in Game 2. With him firing plenty of rubber on net, this has decent value.

Evgeni Malkin, Penguins Over 0.5 Goals (+275, FanDuel)

Malkin is 39 years old and turns 40 in July but he still is a viable offensive threat. He finished with 19 goals and 61 points in 56 regular season games for the Penguins. In his postseason career, he has 69 goals and 114 assists in 182 playoff games. That includes two goals and an assist in the five games in this series. He has just five shots on goal (14 shot attempts) and should be a factor here.  Pittsburgh still needs two more wins to get out of the opening round. Relying on their veteran options, good, bad or indifferent, is how the Penguins season plays out.

Top NHL Prop Bets Today

If you’re looking at wagers that don’t involve denting the twine, we have you covered there as well.

Travis Konecny, Flyers Over 0.5 Points (-145, Fanatics)

Konecny finished the regular season second on the Flyers in goals (27) while leading the team with 68 points. He has 19 shot attempts in the series but just five shots on goal. One of those found the back of the net. On the other hand, Konecny has three assists to his credit, giving him four points in the five playoff games. Philadelphia has dropped the last two games and they need their top guys to step up and contribute offensively. Konecny should get a point here for the Flyers.

Pavel Dorofeyev, Golden Knights Over 2.5 Shots (-145, DraftKings)

This series is tied at two games apiece and we have firepower on both sides of the ice. We saw that in Game 4 in a 5-4 overtime win by the Golden Knights that squared the series. Dorofeyev tallied 37 times and fired 230 shots on goal while playing all 82 regular season games. His effort hasn’t waned in the postseason. Dorofeyev has 19 shot attempts (12 shots on goal) in the series. He has at least three shots on goal in each of the last three games. With his production climbing as the series wears on,  he’s in good shape to exceed the number again.
