Commanders vs. Broncos Props
Consider Denver Team Total: Under 21.5 Points
Last season, Russell Wilson led an offense that lacked explosive plays and an ability to stretch the field. During the team’s opening loss to the Raiders, Wilson had the third-fewest intended air yards per pass attempt of any quarterback.
It’s tough to gauge exactly how well the Commanders performed in Week 1 considering the state of the Cardinals. However, until Russell Wilson shows he can lead a competent offense for four straight quarters, I’m fading Denver’s offense.

Commanders vs. Broncos weather
It should be sunny and warm in Denver, Colorado when Commanders vs. Broncos kicks off at 1:25 p.m. local time. The high for the day is expected to reach 80°, most likely during the early portion of the game. There’s only a 2% chance of precipitation and wind shouldn’t be much of a factor, expected to top out at about eight m.p.h.
Commanders vs. Broncos Injury Report
NFL teams finalize their injury reports two days before a game and denote whether a player is questionable, doubtful, or out. Practice participation is also logged throughout the week. Here is the Broncos injury report and Commanders injury report for Commanders vs. Broncos this week.
Starters On The Injury Report
WAS: Chase Young (Neck): Young missed Week 1 with a serious stinger and is expected to miss the Commanders’ first three games of the season..
WAS: Jartavius Martin (Concussion): The rookie cornerback played solely on special teams in Week 1. He remains Questionable for Week 2.
DEN: Greg Dulcich (Hamstring): Denver’s starting tight end is Doubtful to play at home vs. Washington on Sunday.
DEN: Jerry Jeudy (Hamstring): Jeudy was a game-time decision most of the week heading into the Broncos’ first game before sitting out. He remains questionable with the same hamstring injury and will likely be limited at practice all week.
Commanders Offense vs. Broncos Defense
Washington’s offensive line was expected to struggle coming into this season. Considering the downtrodden Cardinals sacked QB Sam Howell six times, those projections are currently tracking.
The Broncos defensive line was just about as bad. Denver’s defense only managed to pressure Raiders QB Jimmy Garroppolo 10% of the time. They also failed to record a sack, a recurring problem since last season when they recorded the ninth-fewest.
Broncos Offense vs. Commanders Defense
The Broncos’ passing game might be without Jerry Jeudy for the second straight game. Last season, Wilson averaged nearly 50 more yards per game when Jeudy was on the field. Simply put, Denver needs Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims to increase their production downfield.
The Commanders have a young defensive backfield that relies on two rookie cornerbacks and a second-year safety. Washington’s offense seemingly tried to hand last week’s game to Arizona, but its defense held at all the right times. We’ll see if Denver can find a few more holes in the Commanders’ inexperienced secondary than the Cardinals did.
Reasons To Bet The Over/Under
It would be tough to justify betting the over in this game, even at the low total of . Neither team’s offense took advantage of their matchups with weaker defenses. Wilson, a veteran QB in the league, has as many questions surrounding his capabilities as Sam Howell in his second season. Even if Jeudy suits up, how much will his hamstring limit him?
I lean under, just not enough to pull the trigger.
Final Thoughts
Both of these teams underachieved in Week 1 and seem to mirror each other in many ways. They both have talented wide receivers and running backs, but a ton of questions at QB. Their defenses are middling and failed to generate much pressure in their opening games of the season.
Washington narrowly defeated the Cardinals, the team with the lowest odds to record the worst record in the league. Denver missed an extra point and lost by one to the team with the sixth-lowest odds to earn next year’s 1st overall draft pick.
Betting on this game would come down to answering the question of which team I trust more. Unfortunately, the answer is neither. Best of luck betting on Commanders vs. Broncos odds.
