Best NBA Bets Today – Player Props
Stephon Castle, Spurs Over 17.5 Points (+100, FanDuel)
Castle developed into a terrific scoring option for the Spurs and with Victor Wembanyama back, it makes him more dangerous. He’s been effective in this series, putting up 17, 18, 33 and 16 points in the four games. Castle is shooting 41.5% from the floor, 42.9% from three-point range and 84% at the line in the series. With Wembanyama grabbing second chances on the offensive glass and creating mismatches on the offensive end, he gets open looks. Therefore, look for Castle to put up 20 points as the Spurs close things out.
Karl-Anthony Towns, Knicks Over 3.5 Assists (-119, DraftKings)
Towns channeled his inner Magic Johnson in Game 4 of the series. Trailing 2-1 in the series, the Knicks rolled to a 114-98 win to even things up at two games each. Towns was a big reason why. He scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and handed out 10 assists in the win. He has a size edge on the Atlanta frontcourt, especially with Jock Landale missing, and he is a capable playmaker. We saw that in Game 4 and that’s continued a recent trend. Towns has at least four assists in seven of his last eight games. He averages five dimes a night in the series. Take the over in this contest as Towns turns in another solid showing.
Joel Embiid, 76ers Over 7.5 Rebounds (-145, Fanatics)
Embiid made his return to action in Game 4 in his first game in nearly three weeks. He logged 34 minutes in the contest and put up 26 points, 10 boards and six assists. While it was a one-sided defeat for the 76ers, the fact remains that Embiid turned in a solid stat line. That marked his third straight game where he finished with double digit rebounds. With the 76ers having their backs to the wall and the fact that Embiid missed some chances on the glass, he clears this number. Meanwhile, based on what we saw Sunday, you can ladder his rebounds at over 8.5 can be found at -103 on DraftKings as of 10 pm ET April 27.

Celtics -11.5 (BetMGM, -110)
Philadelphia hoped that the return of Embiid would be a shot in the arm and allow them to even the series. Instead, they were hammered into oblivion and are on the brink of elimination. Philadelphia did win Game 2 of this series in Boston but that was a game where the Celtics were 13 of 50 from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, in Games 3 and 4, the Celtics shot a combined 44 of 100 three-point attempts. The 76ers can’t contend with that kind of volume from the perimeter. Therefore, Philadelphia is overmatched and Boston buries them from the outside to close the series.
Spurs -11.5 (DraftKings, -105)
Portland had San Antonio reeling into the third quarter of Game 3. The Trail Blazers followed up by doing that again in Game 4 as they were up 17 at the half. Portland has faded badly in the second half of those two contests. The Spurs outscored the Trail Blazers 61-43 in the second half of Game 3 and 73-35 in Game 4. San Antonio is at home for this contest as the return of Wembanyama in Game 4 was a major boost to them. Meanwhile, playing at home with an opportunity to win the series and get rest ahead of the second round, San Antonio takes care of business.
