Best NBA Player Props & Odds Boosts: Anthony Edwards, SGA, Ayton Wednesday Night

After a night off for the entire NBA, Wednesday night welcomes us all back with 14 games on the slate. There are plenty of NBA odds to choose from across 28 teams in action, but I’ve narrowed down my top three player props. We went with a few under bets on Monday, only cashing one of them. So, I’m going with a few tasty over plays involving players in opportunistic spots to overcome the recent 1-2 night.
We’ve also listed available NBA Odds Boosts for tonight. Click Bet Now to get in on the action, and click any of the NBA player prop odds below to bet now as well.

Editor’s Note
Ant has been off to an MVP-level start to the season, averaging 28.2 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 4.8 APG in nearly 36 minutes. He now gets to face a Pelicans team limping into Minnesota with a cast of reserves. CJ McCollum and Herb Jones were added to an injury list that already included fellow starter Tre Murphy III and key backups Naji Marshall and Jose Alvarado.
That leaves some combination of rookie Jordan Hawkins, Dyson Daniels, and Kira Lewis Jr. on Ant duty for Wednesday’s matchup.
Minnesota’s superstar guard is soaking up a 31.3% usage rate so far. His 15.6 net rating is 7th best among players, averaging at least 30 minutes a night. Any worry about disgruntled teammates (such as Karl-Anthony Towns) showing frustration with Ant’s ball dominance can be put to bed. KAT is averaging just four fewer field goals than his SG and appears fully bought in on both ends of the floor. The Timberwolves own the top defensive rating at home so far.
Edwards has reached 25 points in 4 of 6 games and all of his last four meetings with the Pelis. There’s always the potential for a blowout against a weakened New Orleans team, which would likely force him to the bench early. With such a high usage rate, though, I’ll take my chances that he’s the major reason on offense for a lopsided outcome.
Pelicans vs. T’Wolves Player Props
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 28.5 Points
In addition to going over Shai’s points prop against the Cavs, I’m grabbing the Thunder has home underdogs as well. Guard and top-class defender Lou Dort is questionable to play, but otherwise, OKC enters this one healthy and on a solid roll to begin the season.
Cleveland, on the other hand, has struggled outside of a much-needed home win against the Warriors last Sunday. It’s still early, but the Cavs are allowing the most points to opposing point guards so far. That’s just one year removed from limiting them to the fewest, so our sample size can’t be trusted too deeply. Regardless, I’ll take SGA to score in almost any situation, including one when he’s pitted against Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland.
Last year, Shai put up 35 points at home in a 112-100 victory against the Cavs. In the other matchup in Cleveland, he had 23 points in less than three quarters before leaving with an injury. He and Mitchell were dueling up to that point, a mini-in-game rivalry that should continue into Wednesday’s affair.
Deandre Ayton Over 11.5 Rebounds
It would be tough to describe Ayton’s offensive output this season as “Domin-Ayton,” per his self-prescribed nickname. However, the title is appropriate when discussing his rebounding prowess. Through seven games, Ayton has recorded double-digit boards in all but one, recording 12+ rebounds in four of them. In two of the games in which he failed to reach 12, the Blazers’ big man was going up against two top-five rebounding teams, the 76ers and Pistons.
Sacramento should offer a much softer adversary around the glass. The Kings are currently allowing the most rebounds per game to opposing centers. Last season wasn’t much better for starting center Domantas Sabonis, when he helped allow the 6th-most. Ayton grabbed 12, 12, and 11 rebounds over Domas in three meetings last season.
Best of luck with your NBA player props tonight!
