Best NBA Player Props 04/04: Will Adebayo Run Wild On the Wizards?
We’ve got a slim three-game slate on the NBA hardwood for Saturday out of respect for the Final Four. There is just over a week to go in the regular season. Playoff positioning is still in the cards, though we know the teams that will be in the field in both conferences. In the Western Conference, it seems that the line between guaranteed playoff spots and the play-in teams is clear. Meanwhile, teams six through nine in the Eastern Conference are jockeying for position, separated by 2.5 games in the standings. That makes every game count even more as only the top six seeds earn guaranteed playoff spots.

Out of the three games on the docket, two feature a pair of teams that will be in the postseason. That includes a heavyweight tilt in the Western Conference between the Spurs and Nuggets at the Ball Arena. Meanwhile, the Pistons and 76ers meet in the City of Brotherly Love. With that in mind, we’ve identified our top NBA predictions for the schedule and they’re available for your perusal below. All odds were courtesy of BetMGM as of 11:45 pm ET April 3.
Best NBA Bets Today – Sides
Spurs -2 (-110): Denver has home court advantage and has won seven straight entering this one. With that said, the Spurs are better on the road (29-11) than the Nuggets are at home (24-13) this year. San Antonio is a ridiculous 27-2 since the calendar flipped to February and is healthy. The Spurs still have a shot at the top seed in the Western Conference as they are two games behind Oklahoma City. San Antonio should have Victor Wembanyama back as he wasn’t listed on the injury report as of Friday night. Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic trading blows will be well worth the price of admission. San Antonio’s depth makes the difference here.
Pistons +102: Philadelphia has home court advantage here but they are playing the second game of a back-to-back situation. The 76ers beat Minnesota 115-103 Friday night and Joel Embiid suited up after initially being ruled out. One has to lean toward him sitting here as he has tended to miss one game of back-to-back situations. Detroit is dealing with injury issues of their own entering this game. Cade Cunningham is still out a week or so with a collapsed lung. Tobias Harris is questionable while Isaiah Stewart is out with a calf strain. The Pistons do have the rest advantage and that carries them to a win here.

Jamal Murray, Nuggets Over 24.5 Points (-112): Murray has been on a roll of late, draining 10 three-pointers in a win over Utah. He’s scored at least 31 points in four of his last seven games and hasn’t been held under 20 in that stretch. The two meetings between the teams this season saw both teams finish in the 130s in each contest. Murray put up 37 points in the first meeting this season and followed that up with 39 points in meeting number two. With the way the first two meetings have gone, look for plenty of points. Murray should be good for at least 30 here in a track meet.
Nikola Jokic, Nuggets To Record a Triple-Double (+130): Jokic is a threat to post a stat line like this any given night. He is averaging a triple-double this season with 27.7 points, 13 rebounds and 10.8 assists a night. Jokic has recorded a league-high 32 triple-doubles this season and recently became the first center to record 6,000 assists. In the two meetings with the Spurs this season, Jokic posted a 21/9/10 stat line in the first meeting and followed up with a 31/20/12 line in the second. Granted, Wembanyama missed that contest but when you post a triple-double more than half the time, getting plus money on a wager is an easy call.
Bam Adebayo, Heat Over 35.5 Points + Rebounds (-118): Adebayo has been solid this season, averaging 20.3 points and 10 boards a night on the year. He had a solid showing in the first meeting with the Wizards this season, putting up 22 points, eight rebounds and five steals in a 132-101 Heat win February 8. In the second matchup, he destroyed the Wizards to the tune of 83 points and nine boards in a 150-129 Miami triumph. Washington is 29th in scoring defense (124.3 ppg) and dead last by allowing 47.9 rebounds per contest. Adebayo should put up big numbers here as well.

Each of these individual plays were discussed above. We talked about the ridiculous run that the Spurs are on right now and they own a win in Denver already this season. San Antonio is also much healthier than the Nuggets are at this moment. Jokic leads the league in triple-doubles and has secured that he’ll average a triple-double for the season. The two meetings between the teams have been track meets so there will be plenty of opportunities to put up numbers. Washington has been abysmal on the defensive end of the floor and on the glass. The Wizards are also banged up and could be missing most of their big men. Adebayo feasts here to drive this one home.
