We’ve got a six-game slate on the NBA hardwood for Thursday and there are just 10 days to go in the regular season. Playoff positioning is still in the cards, though we know the teams that will be in the field in both conferences.  In the Western Conference, it seems that the line between guaranteed playoff spots and the play-in teams is clear. Meanwhile, teams five through 10 in the Eastern Conference are jockeying for position, separated by just three games in the standings. That makes every game count even more as only the top six seeds earn guaranteed playoff spots.

Let’s take a spin around the league and see what’s on tap while identifying the best NBA bets today. All odds are courtesy of FanDuel and were current as of 11 pm on April 1.

NBA Schedule

Out of the six games on the docket, five of the six feature a pair of teams that will be in the postseason.  That includes a heavyweight tilt in the Western Conference between the Lakers and Thunder at the Paycom Center. Meanwhile, the Warriors and Spurs play the second game of back-to-back situations. Those two teams faced each other Wednesday night. With that in mind, we’ve identified our top NBA predictions for the schedule and they’re available for your perusal below. All odds were courtesy of BetMGM as of 12:45 pm ET.

Best NBA Bets Today – Sides

Hornets -5.5 (-110) over Suns: Phoenix entered Wednesday seventh in the Western Conference and seem locked into the play-in tournament. They stood 4.5 games behind Houston for the final guaranteed playoff spot and three games ahead of the eighth-place Clippers. The Suns limp into this one as they have lost seven of their last 10 games entering Wednesday. Meanwhile, Charlotte has won eight of their last 11 games. That includes wins over playoff teams Miami (by 30), Orlando (by 19) and New York (by 11) in that span. The Hornets are healthy, at home and with the Suns floundering, take Charlotte in this one.

Thunder -8.5 (-105) over Lakers: Sure, the Lakers have been hot, winning 16 of their last 18 games entering this contest. With that said, they have gained no ground in the Western Conference standings. That's because the Thunder are 18-2 in their last 20 games. The team between them in the standings, the Spurs, are a scorching 25-2 in their last 27 games entering Wednesday night. Los Angeles has been solid on the road but slowing the defending champs is a whole different ball of wax. The Thunder already have 60 wins on the books, including a 32-6 mark at home. With their rotation at near full strength, Oklahoma City beats the Lakers for the fourth straight time.

Best NBA Player Props

If the games on the slate aren’t overly appealing but you still want to get money down, we’ve got you covered with our top NBA props of the day for Thursday as well.

Miles Bridges, Hornets Over 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125): While Bridges hasn’t been much of a facilitator this season, the fact remains that he is still a viable scoring option. He averages 17.1 points per game and, as long as this game isn’t a blowout, he’ll see 30-plus minutes in this contest. Bridges has surpassed this bar in 72% of his outings this season. Phoenix hasn’t been good of late and with Charlotte ranked fifth in the league in offensive efficiency, he’ll have his chances. If Bridges hits the glass with any kind of aggressiveness, this one should get home easily.

Rui Hachimura, Lakers Over 9.5 Points + Rebounds (-132): Hachimura isn’t a top option for a Lakers squad featuring Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and LeBron James. With that said, he still is capable of chipping in offensively when given an opportunity. Hachimura comes in with back-to-back 14-point outings against Washington and Cleveland on the books. He has gone over the number here in seven of his last 10 games, including each of his last three. With the Thunder keying on the aforementioned trio of weapons, Hachimura gets a few extra open looks and it pays off here.

Kon Knueppel, Hornets Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (-167): Knueppel is certainly a frontrunner for Rookie of the Year after a stellar campaign. He’s drained 259 three-pointers on the year and is shooting a stellar 43.1% from beyond the arc. Phoenix has been good defending the perimeter, ranking second in the league by holding opposing teams to 34.6% shooting from downtown. Knueppel has hit just four three-pointers combined in the last three games. However, he hit at least three in six of the seven games before that. He has a better showing than the two of eight from beyond the arc than he had in the first meeting. Knueppel drains at least three triples in this one.

NBA Parlay of the Night

Odds: +504

Each of these players were discussed above. Bridges has the ability to generate solid numbers on a nightly basis and with this game likely to be close, he’ll get the necessary minutes. Hachimura has a chance to make the Thunder pay in this one. With Phoenix almost locked into the seventh seed and home court in the play-in tournament, they may play it safe and limit minutes here. Meanwhile, Charlotte entered Wednesday 2.5 games behind the Hawks for the final guaranteed playoff spot so they can move up in the standings. Playing at home, the Hornets are the better option.
