NFL Divisional Round odds are posted, and there are a ton of options at the best sports betting sites for Bucs vs. Lions to kick off Sunday’s slate. The touchdown and first TD scorer props are two of the most popular markets. First TD Scorer Odds

Bucs vs. lions Anytime Touchdown Scorer Strategy

Bettors who are excited to bet on the Lions anytime touchdown markets this week should rejoice. With the Over/Under bouncing around 48, sportsbooks project this to be a higher-scoring game. The Lions’ implied team total is about 27 points, meaning sportsbooks are projecting Detroit to score three or four touchdowns in the game.

Awareness of the total can ensure bettors do not bet too many ATTDs when there are likely fewer total touchdowns.

In this case, the two teams will play indoors, so unlike outdoor games, the wind will not be a factor.

Lions TE Sam LaPorta

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. LaPorta had one of the best rookie years for a tight end in NFL history. His 10 regular season touchdowns are second-most by a rookie tight end, trailing only Mike Ditka’s 12 touchdowns in 1961. In 2010, Rob Gronkowski caught 10 in his rookie year as well. LaPorta suffered a bone bruise and hyperextended knee in Week 18 but looked just fine against the Rams last weekend when he reeled in a touchdown. He was also on the field for 26 pass snaps last week; in theory, that number should increase this week if the knee is feeling better.

For the season, LaPorta was second on the Lions in redzone targets with 15, behind only Amon-Ra St. Brown’s 24 targets. Jared Goff keys in on the Iowa product when they get within striking distance. It’s also worth mentioning that LaPorta was fourth in the NFL in redzone targets for tight ends, trailing only Jake Ferguson, Travis Kelce, and David Njoku. Getting him at anything around +150 or better is a steal in my book.

The Bucs have also not covered tight ends well this season. They allowed the third-most receiving yards to the position and allowed six touchdowns to them, the fourth-most in the league. In fact, since Week 14 of the regular season, the Bucs’ defense has surrendered five touchdowns to TEs. Can we really expect them to keep LaPorta, one of the league’s most lethal redzone targets, out of the endzone today?

David Montgomery

Getting Montgomery at nearly even money is simply too good to pass up on. The veteran back found the endzone 13 times this season, the third most of any running back in the league behind Raheem Mostert and Christian McCaffrey. His sheer volume increases the closer Detroit gets to the pylon. When inside the 20-yard line, he has 47.2% of the team’s carries, but once they get inside the 5-yard line, that number balloons up to 58.6%.

The battle in the trenches is of course a concern, with nose tackle Vita Vea clogging up the middle of the Bucs’ defense. That said, this number for Montgomery to find the endzone is simply too good to pass up on. He’s scored a touchdown in four consecutive games, and although moving Vea out of the way is an issue, this is an incredible price for the clear goal line back in Detroit. With the
